Fantastic! Title is misspelled so very hard to find in a search. Again, superb playing! Almost too perfect. Just wow!

Actually, it was spelled Juansinfron in the beginning, but after a lovely talk with Cucco Peña, the composer, I learned that his original spelling was Juansinfrom, as Juan(cito Torres) sin (without) from (as 'roots') Thought it was a fun hommage to change the title 😊 thanks for your words!!

@@antoinecolintrumpet Good to know! Thanks! And again, superb playing! BTW I was a serious student of John Clyman and Claude Gordon many years ago and have held a trumpet to my face long enough (tens of thousands of hours) to know how truly exceptional you are. God bless you as you use your gift to the fullest! Your music makes the world a much better place!

So many fine musicians have used this arrangement many moons ago and this style of antoine collin stays right up there with the great musicians Now let me tell you the first time I heard this was in 1946 was when the late great Charlie Ventura on tenor sax with gene krupa did this It stood out to me back then. and now goes to show you great arrangements and charts like this get better and better thank you for posting this one

This is just beautiful music, such lush playing from the whole band. Just to comment on the high notes at the end. The arrangement begins in concert Eb, modulates to A major, then returns but this time to F major. So Antoine's high note at the end is a concert G, trumpet A, while Louis finishes on a concert C above it, trumpet D, three octaves above piano middle-C. It's the perfect ending. I don't have the impression they are trying to out-do each other, it's just that the music should be good. No doubt they will play the vacuum cleaner in good time. Stephen.

Great chart! Love the crisp trumpets, the "big lungs" bass trombonist, and most of all, the groove! Interesting key -- Bb minor, I think, which ends on the solo trumpet finishing on the 9th of the chord -- but I could be wrong!
