Can this whole blues course be done soley using an acoustic guitar??? Or is electric needed for many of the tehcniques?? Im mostly an acoustic player, could the whole course be done on acoustic??
Thank you for getting in touch. The earlier part of the course can be played on both acoustic and electric guitar. However, I feel it’s definitely better to have an electric guitar in order to fully benefit from the course as it progresses. Having an acoustic guitar will get you some of the way through the beginner section, but so much of what I teach is focused in electric blues guitar. For example, techniques such as string bending can be very difficult to execute on an acoustic guitar. I hope this helps, Bobby
i dont know why i only now find this channel.. but i am happy i did... i wrote 12 tabs licks on paper from this video.. thank you.. have wrote the channel down as well go watch more of it tomorrow.. i always look for blues, love blues or some good jazz.. imnot too good yet.. but i liked these all and could follow everything (except the rhytm begin part was a bit to difficult for me..) im in week 13 or 14.. always looked for blues, but never found this before.. even it has blues in the name so idk why..😂😅

Ok I started working this solo into my practice cycle according to my practice log on 1/17/24. Licks 6 and 11 were difficult. 6 was challenging for its technical challenge, and 11 for its phrasing. I’m happy to say I can play the entire solo perfectly with the recording; albeit at half tempo. Lol. But that’s ok. The rest is just practice with a metronome to get it up to tempo. Then ween off the recording to a backing track. Then it’s in my basket forever. I really like the turn around licks and already hear variations that I can work out. thank you so much for teaching. i started playing guitar when i was 56 iam now 59 and i have logged 3024 hours learning. iam now addicted to the guitar.i keep track of my time through a stopwatch and a daily log.thank you for opening a new chapter in my life.
After watching probably a 1000 videos on here I have to say this 1 is by far the best. Great player and teacher very easy to understand and he doesn't leave you hanging wondering what the hell comes next. I'm now finally learning something worthwhile thank you so much.
I believe it's all you. You may have learned from the other greats, but do not take anything from yourself. You are an excellent player and even a better teacher.

Everything's already been said long ago, I guess I'm late to the party. After struggling to learn the different pentatonic shapes and then being unable to put them together to make something that flows beyond a couple of bars, this is a real eye openeer. Superb lesson, very clearly explained and classily played. Thank you so much.
