I have been into cars and motorcycles pretty much my whole life. I can't leave well enough alone and I am always trying to find the perfect combination and the best quality and fit of aftermarket parts. I will be providing honest real life thoughts on Motorcycle accessories and other things automotive related. Everything that will be or has been done was paid for out of my own pocket, so you can be assured that if I don't like something, I am not one to be shy about it. Not one item I talk about will be vendor supplied. Hopefully my thoughts will help you make the decisions to make your vehicles your own.
I agree with most of your concerns about these rear sets, but come on man… cooking the rotor and rear pads was 100% on you. If you work on anything involving the safety components on your bike then you should be checking them BEFORE taking it for a ride. Good video though thanks
I probably should do a follow up, it already has speigler braided brake lines, a new rage cycle under tail, and a leo vince exhaust. Got some other goodies sitting on a shelf.
@@moton8tion866I just installed the lightened primary gear and it definitely makes a difference higher top speed, better acceleration, smoother down shifting it revs up better clutches wheelies easier too
good vid. i have a 2020 R1M, i'll trade wheels with ya =D i went with the BTmoto tune, they improved things quite a bit the past year or two but still stuck with the damn pair valve stuff. if i install blockoffs, they say leave it plugged in.. and its like, what the hell. how lucky you are that you can just pull the AIS stuff out and toss it.
No cars No rocks No pedestrians No animals (with exception to the riders) No Karens No cops (unless they are having fun on the track) No stop light. GO GO GO!!!!
So I had ordered from amotoparts, and they never notified me on the status or the fact that you're able to "modify the order," and they never contact me is wild but they are still nice caring I will say
LMAO. I SAID THE SAME to Brock Samson (these filters, AT BEST, are bug catchers and filter nothing smaller) on one of his videos. HE and ALL HIS BLIND, DEAF FANBOYS DOUBLED DOWN claiming I was talking out of my Colon saying things I had no idea about. Well . . . here it is, Folks. I rest my case ! 👌💀👍 These filters were and still are HOT GARBAGE as I had imagined. P.S: I'm sorry you having to find out the hard and $$$$ way.
Well, even after this video and evidence they do nothing, you still won't convince fan boys. 🙄. The tuners and vendors pushing this garbage should be embarrassed and ashamed.
hello , I only ride on the road, I use a BMC air filter on my 2018 R1. I open my air box to clean and grease my filter approximately every 6 months and I have never had a problem, what's more I have removed the air opening valve in the air inlet duct
Just wanted to say it was a chore. I don’t know why they made it so nerve racking to swap out a windscreen but anyway thanks for the video you are putting a major dent in the system! 😀
I'm not sure I will use them anymore. I have a k&n in my r6 and did some work on it, and the air box had to come off. It was clean. So i went with the BMC Race this time.
Direct from Nate at 2 wheel dynoworks: We never recommend Sprint air filters. They don't "filter" much of anything. We've replaced everything from intake valves to entire H2 superchargers due to debris getting past these filters. The stock air filter is also not a significant restriction on any Yamaha CP4. When someone wants a serviceable one, we recommend DNA, K&N, or some other oiled-gauze filter design. You can send both ECUs in the same box if you'd like! @@moton8tion866 thank you! I might actually just go ahead and do that. Unfortunately, I suffered a riding season ending surgery and wont be able to ride for the rest of the summer. After I am all healed up and can ride again ill probably have them re do my flash.
@@nasirjonez730 Yeah, after talking with Nate, I wish I would have gone to him first. 😔 straight forward, answered all my questions. Class act also, wouldn't bad mouth anyone even when I tried pushing him too.
One of the plugs, you just squeeze the tab and pull. The other has a rotating clip that goes across the length of the clip. Just free it from the lock and rotate back, and the harness will free up
🤩🇺🇸👍🇯🇵🏁🏁Never throw anything away! Put away in labeled box! The best sound is on those roads! Still have my 84 Gpz 750, mothballed since 94! O.G. retirement trophy project (Wiseco 810 kit/33mm Kehien CR Specials/Vance & Hines 4 into 1)! Have same 22 R1 anniv. plus 2020 R6! Have Yoshimura systems in boxes! All the best! Great video!👍👍👍
Hey sir hopefully you see this! Got the same bike with a full spark exhaust and block off plates. I saw in another comment you said your bike still pops/ bangs even without the added Moore mafia tune. So what you’re saying is if I get the Moore mafia ecu flash WITHOUT the pops/ bangs my bike will still have some back fire pops??
Brandon, It does still pop on decel, especially when using the quickshifter on down shift. However, it's not near as severe as his pops and bangs tune. If you want it to do that, you will have to have it flashed that way. Did I miss the part where he says you need to put the pair valve back on? 🤔
@@moton8tion866 yeah he was saying he can’t do the pop/ bang tune unless the pair valve is still on, which in my case it’s not. So I’d have to reinstall it
Are you asking about how to attach the inner black pieces to the outer pieces? If so, I had to run to ace hardware and get some self tapping screws for plastic.
@@SamAlbanna-tj3gq You will want something like this. kb-3d.com/store/inserts-fasteners-adhesives/275-m2x10mm-self-tapping-screw-for-plastic-hex-drive-1640931303062.html
@@moton8tion866 thank you for this. I went to my local hardware store and got screws to secure wings. I do have one question if you can help me out. The front two bolts for the tank they are not lining up with the frame. Did you ever have any trouble with this?
I’ll never forget the time I forgot to wipe down my mid pipe and burn an after print of my fucking hand I was so pissed at myself I was wearing only one glove while handling the mid pipe If you were wondering how only one hand print ended up burning in.
I bought fairings from monster and they were stolen off my door step and monster refuses to send me new ones. Im out 600$ now so order at your own risk
Hat sucks. People are a-holes. How long did you wait for them. Can you still file a dispute with the credit card company, and is the shipping company gonna help out.
The longer of the two, lift up slightly on the clip that goes along the top and rotate it backwards. When you plug it back in, it will rotate back into the ecu,, push down until it clicks.
Appreciate the review looking to do something for my Ninja however you seem to be super forgiving. Imo I'd be pretty pissed off if I paid that amount $ that they charge and had all those issues. Seems like poor quality control. What's on ur bike looks good but man. I could care less about the waiting I want it done right.
Thanks for the comment, yes I am a forgiving person. I was more pissed about the two pieces coming in broken and waiting for the replacements than the time to make them fit. If you want a different look, you can't beat them. I am actually thinking about another set, maybe a matte silver.. 🤔
@@moton8tion866 even with what you've said I'm still considering using them not sure there is a ton of other options out there but still doing my research.. I am eyeing that Nardo grey 🤤.. . Thanks again man! Starting up a channel too.. Like ur content 💪
@AC-Ninja Thanks for the kind words. The reason I went with monster was the selections they have to chose from, plus you can make changes to suit your needs. Good luck. Subscribe also, send me a link to your channel.
@@moton8tion866 @@moton8tion866 already subscribed! youtube.com/@AC-Ninja?si=f17pNkGTl1rjJnCG and thanks man good luck to you as well! I'll be watching your channel. Nice bikes.
That's a tricky question. The Woodcrafts would be good for street riding as you can still use the rear brake switch for the brake light. Just look out for the issues I ran into. If you don't care about the rear brake switch, go Attack. I would have said Vortex, but they haven't released them yet.
I would pass on it. it's not worth the money. If you have all your original hardware use that instead and get oe hardware from yamaha if some are missing. The bolt kit from monster feels cheap and looks cheap.
I got into a pretty nasty wreck on my bike destroyed all my fairings I was looking at OEM fairings for my bike but to replace them all they want 8K so decided to go with monster fairings
