the 300 inline 6 isn't 100 years old. ford used flatheads till 1953. completely different engine to a ohv engine. Buick had a patent that caused the delay in innovation for a few decades.
The absolute best Ford engine I’ve ever had was in a 62 pick up, it had a 292 in it and it started so fast it made everybody jump in their seats , until they got used to it ! I always thought Ford should have dropped that motor in every thing they built ! It had plenty power easy to maintain and seemed like nothing was ever wrong with it ! Used to just open hood and try to find something wrong with it ?
The major manufacturers no longer hold customer demand to be a major factor. They're now more interested in serving their globalist, Romish authoritarian overlords.
Yeah, companies don’t want longevity! Burn out and replace! Where are the tree huggers at? Why aren’t they up at arms? We throw away everything! Everything is short lived and disposable! How does that help the environment?
I always been a fan of the square body ford pickup trucks & that bronco is absolutely amazing. Inline 6 was & still is a popular motor, from Porsche, Toyota to ford, GM & Dodge in their diesel pickup trucks... its definitely a good engine💪👍👍👏
We want all old vehicles to come back to life. Even Chevy and Dodge. Nobody wants these electric cars where the batteries cost way more than the car if you have to replace a battery, nobody wants the ugly body styles, and everyone especially those who know cars and knows gow to work on them, wants the old skool back. Get rid of those newer cars most of us can't afford. They are all junk!! And made from plastic of fiberglass. Mostly plastic these days. Smfh, after the late 80s early 90s vehicles took a major crash on reliability uses. Verses the old skool easy to work on kind of vehicles. Some of these newer vehicles mechanics can't and don't want to work on. All because robots put these vehicles together. Old skool was best, easy to work on and cheap
I would go homless if they ban gas.i would never in my life beable aford ev pluss all the separate monthly payments service like battery compasty so on .
Let's not forget about the Chrysler 4.0 I'd have to say is a tremendous motor also. I'm neither ford or a GM guy I'm for all American made brands. And I'm from Detroit. The awesome motor city.
Show a little respect to the Aussie intech and barra 6 as well. The intechs are built like a tank and the barras go like hell. Arguably one of the best performance inline 6es ever made.
I'm not a Ford guy. I'm a total GM guy. However, I had a new 1998 Chevy pick up that the trans went on at 12,000 miles among a bunch ot other issues. I sold right after it was fixed it and bought a 1995 Ford F-150 with the 4.9. I had it for 3 years and did nothing to it except oil changes. Great motor.
