Hi, I'm Wonderhussy: an all-American adventuress with an insatiable curiosity about -- and love for -- the weird wonders of this wide world. I don't take anything too seriously ... and I ain't skeered of nothin'!
Having spent 21 years in Las Vegas selling yo-yos and romping around for the benefit of photographers, I eventually grew curious as to what's outside the Vegas city limits ... and from the very first abandoned ho house I stumbled upon in the Nevada desert back in 2016, I've been sharing my adventures on RU-vid. Hot springs, ghost towns, lonely desert outposts and high Sierra hideaways ... I hunt them all down in my quest to discover the secret history of the American West, one strange place at a time.
There's no mountain too high, no road too rough -- and nowhere I'd rather be than the middle of nowhere. So get in, sit down and buckle up -- we're going adventuring!

I was working at a gas station on highland and drove past the pile of train cars, and then was at work when the explosion rocked all our windows. Was surreal. Thanks for the look back Wonderhussy!
Another good one . Historians will refer to your RU-vid channel and your shows for references in the future like 500 years from now because of the extensive Southwestern info ! Greetings from south east Alabama USA ❤️☮️
I think Ben’s real name is { Wilson } !😂😂 don’t get to carried away with conversation with Ben because your sister might try to have you committed ! 😂😂 another great video . I’ve been all through that part of the country . Thanks for sharing this . Greetings from south east Alabama ❤️☮️
The tower was most likely weakened from the countless other folks that had previously hooked to it and winched themselves out of that area over the past 50 years.(without any shame or penalty)
You are so right about dog who are not on a leash! I live with a medical alert dog and he is always on a leash wherever we go, he and I hike and backpack together all over the desert for months per year and he has the best life.
Shara the yellow flowers you were looking at are called Balsamroot. They grow all over the place up here in the eastern Cascade mountains in Washington. Ours were pretty much gone by Memorial Day this year. We love that part of California thanks for sharing.
Good morning. I have really enjoyed your videos for a long time. You do a great job from your research to presentation. Since your summer is in flux and you plan on staying around home can I make a suggestion for a video? I would enjoy seeing how you produce your excellent content. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Ok, I plan to ignore the hate, but this is how I feel. First, I am truly sick and tired of our government spending our money on things that do not make any difference to the majority of tax payers. Who among us knew about this and better yet, who among us has the means to get to that location? Why can't there be a sign explaining what happened there and maybe art showing what it originally looked like. That would save a bunch from that fund to be spent on graffiti repair on the sides of mountains that some of us might be able to see. In fact, I would argue that repairing the petroglyphs is far more important. And, to not let this man off the hook, lets have him out , beginning in September, cleaning national parks for a certain amount of time. Or if that isn't suitable, have the parks put it to a vote on their site. Yes, I realize this man did wrong by ignoring the signs. But he didn't murder anyone. He may not have the money to pay for everything that this restoration cost. And only a handful of people will see it. Put him to work. Put a sign out there. And fix what needs done for the majority of us.
I still think she has a good singing voice, I'd love to hear with some accompaniment maybe a guitar, there's a lot of old Western songs but not many female western singers, Pasty Montana comes to mind, Dale Evans but I don't know if she sang solo or just with Roy, how about making a video singing some western songs by a campfire.
At 8:56. Yeah Sweetie...But EVERYBODY knows off roaders are supposed to carry a big rebar hitching post he can pound into the ground with which to attach his winch block n' tackle. There's NO excuse!
Wonderhussy The Indians were there for centuries as there are Petroglyphs made by them for thousands of years! the Navajo lived in the area & were not forced to live there by the Government
I love the fact she put voice drops in to accentuate that those once great hot springs were actually the worst. Like a mom saying this one kid of mine is a bad child! Watch out for clampers and glampers. Radioactive Windex, LOL. What an acerbic diatribe of hot springs. No one could say it better.
"A severe shortage of single females" Wait, what? By the looks of the place I'd think any capable half educated young woman would be dying to stay there! 😅
No different than if someone vandalized one of the back country cabins you like to visit. It's still a historic item in a public national park. People would be tearing up all kinds of historic "junk" as you called it. The dumbass should have thought about it before driving off into the soft area.
