Just done with my hysterectomy 5days ago. I'm relieved watching this knowing It wont cause me any negative effect afterwards. Thanks for this , this is helpful for me.
I have prolapse & surgeon recommended hysterectomy (removal of uterus) what do you think of hysterectomy for prolapse. I have a pessary which my body has pushed out twice Thanks
I made a comment on your last video but could you please advise me as far as how much weight I can lift after a robotic-assisted complete hysterectomy. I just saw my surgeon 10 days post-operation and she said after 14 days I can live 20 lbs. end up to the 14 days I can lift 10 lb which I did yesterday and I feel as if I lifted too much weight cuz I've had some really bad cramping today. before that I had very little pain. she also said that there was no need for me to come back how's the second post-operative visit but I insisted that she sees me in another 4 weeks. I'm not quite sure what kind of CT scan or ultra sound I should take but I want to see exactly where the organs that are left the bladder etc have settled. do you think that they can tell from a CT or an ultrasound test where all the organs have have settled or should I wait 6 months?
10 days ago I had a robotic assisted hysterectomy. I had my uterus, cervix, ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed. I had a cyst on my right ovary the size of a large grapefruit, my uterus was swollen and I had a lot of fibroids on the inside of my uterus and unbeknown to my surgeon, I also had a large tumor that, thank goodness, was benign. Great surgeon but I don't feel that she's giving me very good aftercare advice. yesterday she told me I could lift up to 10 lb within the first 2 weeks and 20 lbs after 2 weeks. Yesterday was 10 days post surgery and I lifted some shopping that weighed about 10 lb and today I am paying the price. I am in a lot of pain in my lower abdomen. also I have some kind of infection in my vagina which she describe some kind of cream that is actually burning my vagina so I am going to get some vagisil and hope that works. could you please advise women how much weight they can actually lift after a hysterectomy and the time frame from which the weights change? Thank you
This is so helpful. I'm most sad about no yoga and weightlifting😅 i thought i could go to the pool after 3 weeks, but now i know to avoid the pool for 6 weeks. Jumping in the pool ,them laying out in the sun. I'm in AZ and the pool is my passion 🎉
I have bad bleeding due to fibroids. Im 28 im getting mine out in a few weeks idk if i should keep my cervix or not. I am worried about my intimacy with my partner and worried i will feel empty and nothing anymore
2 weeks post total hysterectomy feeling good same story here...i actually never felt any pain however I do take my meds as prescribed now down to 1 dose a day dont really need it...Not getting cut on the vagina I hear makes a diff in the healing process...
I heard that many women have an issue with an increase in their breast size following a hysterectomy with ovaries intact. I have a laparoscopic hysterectomy in a couple of weeks where my ovaries will be left intact. Is this a real side effect? I also hike a lot and was wondering how soon after your surgery were you able to get back into working out? Did you also have issue with weight gain?
Hysterectomy done in 2019. "swelly belly" is still an issue 5 years later. And the weight gain. I gained 15 pounds every year since I had the surgery. I went from a sz 7/8 to sz 16/18. I exercise regularly 4 days a week and eat healthy. I don't regret the surgery. Just wish the body changes would have been explained better before the surgery.
Thank you for sharing this with us I am 36 with endometriosis I have had kids now doctors are pushing me to have full hysterectomy there are always different stories and opinions on the internet but good to hear from a doctor who’s gone through hysterectomy I am still not sure what to do
Newsflash, Stop drinking and eating anything with dairy like milk and cheese or anything processed that has milk products to any degree and your allergies to animals will disappear. It takes a couple weeks but I’ve noticed that through trial and error. I have experimented throughout my whole life and realize that when I stay away from milk products completely that I am no longer allergic to animals. The reason I say newsflash is because this is never discussed anywhere on the Internet and it’s the core of the allergic reactions that go on in our immune system . My brother has the same problem and I know three other people who have also experimented, and their allergies disappeared when they were around dogs and cats. Something to think about and it’s worth a try let me know. Good luck!
I didn’t know that having a hysterectomy would make me more likely to have a prolapsed bladder later in life. I actually had never heard of it. Do your research and take all precautions to keep it from happening to you.
Hello,..how about climax,do you still have it? Did you still aroused or your vaginas getting wet? My wife plans to remove her uterus because of uterine fibroid.. thanks in advance
Not sure why she responded this way or if her channel does auto replies but no your periods will stop. If you have your ovaries removed as well you’ll experience surgical menopause.
Just listen to your doctor everything they say you will be fine I’m 6 weeks 1 day my surgery took 1 hour 30 mins I had open abdominal like a C section they took everything left my ovaries because they was good and I survived off just Tylenol regular strength they did give me the hard stuff but I didn’t have to take any but when the Anastasia nurse talk to you answer every question you can because they will better serve you better if they have better understanding so if u had surgery before remember everything you went through so they can manage your pain or sickness after the Anastasia so you won’t go through that same process before like if u vomit before after Anastasia they rather know so after surgery they can put something in your if so when u wake up u won’t be sick and if u had crazy pine then they also can control that by putting it in your Ivy and given u a nub shot in both hips and u won’t feel anything and u will be able to survive off ibuprofen or regular Tylenol like I did I’m 6 weeks 1 day ask I speak and fine I didn’t have no pain went home in 2 days I advised you to bring halls your throat will be crappie also take gas relief extra strength because if your doctor didn’t order it and they take long you will be stuck waiting that gas no joke or if you can’t call the doctor your self have a family member over your own phone because them nurses move slow and then they have other patients so I took it upon myself and called the doctor on my phone after I hung up 😅 lol my medication was right there you will be on the nurses time but when you call the doctor your self they will move quickly because you just had surgery and they rather not let you suffer or you can bring your own or when u have your next visit you also can ask your doctor can u buy some yourself but that’s why the doctor always say if you take other medication bring it so you don’t miss any medication depending on what it is if it’s nothing to no period medication cause they will say your off that medication stop taken it but if it’s other medication for something else you will be able to take it depending on the nurse to make sure nobody mixing medication and some time u can take medicine together some u do have to wait 2 hours and some u can’t take until the next day though but the gas medicine you can take it with the other medicine that’s going into the iv depends on what they give you and depends on what you allergic to as well just be form with the doctor to help with the pain management best wishes to you though after it’s over you will not be in pain I can tell you that from my experience
Hi Govani, I need your opinion, please. I'm 54, booked for hysterectomy in 5 weeks. Lots of bleeding, big fibroid, no energy. But its a major surgery and I'm on the fence because I will most likely hit menopause soon naturally. Problem solved, no?
Is this a new fad? Black women seem to be rushing to get hysterectomies. Be careful; many articles have deemed a percentage of hysterectomies performed as unnecessary.
Mass was benign. Be cautious about rushing to get hysterectomies black women. Many in the past and today have been researched to be unnecessary. I’m suddenly seeing so many videos that seem to be encouraging this drastic measure. If you are in extreme pain or bleeding excessively, I can understand. But please do your research. Don’t be railroaded. MRI, ultrasound machines, chemo and all that stuff has to be paid for. Patients are needed to do this. Some medicines that patients were told would help, actually worsened the problem. There is much information out there ladies that many of you don’t know about. Do some research on your condition before running to get under the knife. That’s all I’m encouraging you to do.
My sister has iron-deficiency anemia for 4 years. Every spring she has dizziness, paleness, low hemoglobin. In terms of gynecology, she did not have such excessive menstruation. 2 months ago, these symptoms started again. She had prolonged menstruation. We went to the gynecologist and they told us that she had inflammation of the uterus and a polyp. She was treated with medicines. About two weeks after that, she had 3-day bleeding, we thought it was menstruation, but it was non-menstrual bleeding. Hemoglobin dropped again, dizziness, lack of appetite, feeling of vomiting. Weakness. She got a little better with medical treatment. But still these symptoms started. We went to the gynecologist again and the polyp has to be removed (size 11 millimeters). But in general she is weak and I want to get stronger. I am afraid of the polyp operation. Will there be any complications with the operation? I am afraid because he is underweight. The doctor told us that he will be given a transfusion beforehand. But before that, we must eat well at home, he cannot eat well because of the feeling of vomiting, but we must try. Hemoglobin 112, what is this? Does that mean? Will they halve this number? Also, the result of the Pap test is normal. Does this rule out any cancer? I'm still worried.
