I've watched baseball for five decades. I always thought that if an infield popup was nearest to the pitcher, he'd catch it. Was I wrong all that time? Are they just supposed to point, then stand there while the other players decide who's going to catch it? Seems very inefficient to me, and prone to the kinds of errors I just watched.
This is really easy for me to say as someone who has never coached pro athletes, but I feel like if I were a manager of an MLB team and one of my guys did some of the more extreme tantrums shown in this video, i'd pull him aside and be like "I get you're frustrated, but you can't do that"
What is this editing? No one will know what the play was with Pujols and Puig at 2:43 and the sequence of events at 5:50 is backwards: You have the replay of the relay first and then the actual game footage which you then cut off?
Looks to me like they need some little league training and the catchers are the field captains training too! ⚾️🧢🏟️ Seriously I can do a better job at coaching!
