Joe West could probably have one of these made about him alone. He's one of the most notoriously horrible umps out there. How he's had a job for this long is mind-boggling. Jim Wolf (I think that's his first name) and Angel Hernandez are also terrible umpires.

Ones I expected here but weren't: Clemens throwing broken bat at Mike Piazza. Machado throwing his bat almost hitting Josh Donaldson. Mark Beurhle getting called for two horrible balk calls back to back and then gets tossed. Jose Urena hitting Ronald Acuna Jr. on first pitch of game as retaliation for doing well against them. Papelbon grabbing Bryce Harper by the throat in the dugout. Pedro Martinez throwing Don Zimmer to the ground in wild brawl. Alex Rodriguez's existence.

@@horm I’m not trying to make anything political.. I believe in between the lines the game should be played without remorse.. Not wussified for the masses.. Same thing when QBs roll outside the pocket and ground the football.. I don’t think the NFL needs a loophole to the intentional grounding rule, so they can legally ground the ball.. I believe that if a QB doesn’t want to take a sack, or get his leg mangled, THEN HE SHOUOD HAND THE BALL TO A RUNNING BACK!.. THATS football.. And if you don’t want guys sliding late into 2nd base, then hit them in the forehead with the ball on the next relay to first.. They’ll stop sliding late, trust me.. That’s baseball..

Did you forget the infield fly rule called on a ball well into left field Braves Cardinals wildcard game. The fans were so upset bottles and cans were thrown on the field.
@cnc1019
@cnc1019 3 года назад
@Bob S has to do with whether the play would be reasonably made by an infielder under normal effort (no diving, full speed backpedaling, etc). If it is more reasonable for the outfield to make the play then infield fly rule is not in effect regardless of who ends up playing the ball.
