Our current situation probably would not exist if Trump had been required to furnish certified tax and financial records before his run in 2016, as it clearly appeared he had something to hide. Remember it was public knowledge that he had already been bankrupt at least six times. The recent court cases confirmed this as well as his lack of character and integrity. Had voters known this back then it could have saved millions.
