Nobody robbed anybody of anything, and it wasn't any kind of incredible business deal. Nobody on either side thought NBA basketball was going to become a multi billion dollar industry with mega tv contracts. At that point there was no guarantee the NBA would even be in business in 10 years, much less making big bucks. The Silnas threw in the demands/request for tv money on the wild chance it would pay off; the NBA agreed to it because they figured they would never have to pay it off. More than anything else it was just dumb luck.
