@NBAInsider @NBA Insider NBA Insider GuttaStarrEnt looks like they listen 10k likes is not bad lol Good job NBA Insider. I'm a fan of what you do. All your Coverage and Hard Work shows how much you not only love the game but you appreciate each and every persons unique story. I can truly feel the passion and effort you put into telling their store's. You never know how it can affect or change some young athletes choices in the future just because they watched some of these videos. Most people only tell the good parts of a person's story, but not you NBA Insider. We need to know the beginning, middle, end, goals, dedication, hardwork, effort, mistakes, violence, abuse, failure, growth, and the aftermath of it all, especially the bad and there's always a lesson to be learned through all the smoke and tears. @@TheIcemanthomas While he was clearly an amazing businessman I don't know if he's really a top entrepreneur. He isn't known for any inventions or innovations, he was a great leader and businessman. He sure as hell knows how to make money, but he's got nothing on Lonnie Johnson :)
@TheIcemanthomas

@@davidjohnson8655 Entrepreneur- person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. is that not exactly what his story entails?
@davidjohnson8655
@davidjohnson8655 4 года назад
@@TheIcemanthomas Taken from www.investopedia.com/terms/e/entrepreneur.asp An entrepreneur is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures. I'm not arguing that he isn't an entrepreneur, he started a business that owns hundreds of franchises, making him a very successful entrepreneur. That is different from being a top entrepreneur. He didn't start the franchises, he purchased prefabricated businesses and was very good at managing them. His greatest strengths are his leadership and business management, not innovation. If you look up a list of the top entrepreneurs you will find they all have innovation in common. This is why I suggested one of my personal favorites, Lonnie Johnson, who on top of having his own business is known as an inventor and engineer. I don't think he is as successful financially speaking, but he is definitely more noteworthy as an entrepreneur, at least in my opinion. I will take super soakers and nerf guns over collectivizing franchises any day.

Johnson is worth 350 million Bridgeman is worth 600 million Whats the point here? The man (junior) worked hard, and made it known that education can go a long way. His story, and message was to the point. What he innovatived is truly irrelevant. SMH.😔

It just was unique it wasn't just something related to on the court, but outside the sport itself, the title alone was attention grabbing enough, but it wasn't click bait because I didn't feel mislead. I think I'm on the right track! I've read two of Junior's favorite books in 2019. A habit that I just started developing after reading that some folks whose achievements I admire (Barack Obama and Bill Gates) will spend at least one hour a day reading. This has changed my outlook on life completely and I strongly recommend that EVERYONE, regardless of age, socio-economic stature or anything else adopt this philosophy. I am now 62 years old and unless the man up there decides it's time for me to move on, I expect to fully realize my dreams and ambitions. It's never too early or too late folks. One of my best quotes from Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" is "Every adversity has the seed of an equal or greater benefit". Si se puede!

Wow, This is amazing. I never heard of him. So glad you posted this video. It's really inspiring. I just find it so unbelievable how many things he was doing at once. Even while playing basketball he had his hands in other things working hard. Yes, he could have just been satisfied with his NBA salary and lived comfortably, but this is a man that was and is beyond motivated. This video deserves a lot more views than it has because I think our youth need to see things like this. I love how his dad instilled those values and work ethics in him and he just took it and ran with it. Thank you again. Have a great day. George. Also, I'm really impressed with how many comments you respond to. That's something I've always tried to do on my channel. I spend about 30 mins a day responding to my comments. I know our subscribers appreciate that a lot. A lot of youtube channels never respond to any comments. And that's ok. It's their decision to do that, but it doesn't take that much time out of the day to answer some questions and interact with your subs. I know I appreciate it when I see a channel that does it. You just got a new subscriber.

@@NBAInsider It's alive. That's really the best way to put it. Just a few minutes, I felt like I'd known Bridgeman forever. Perhaps, it's just the story in itself. But I'd be damned if the quality of the telling of it in this video (from the narrator's tone, words, descriptions, to the editing of shots - especially when it alternates between pictures of Bridgeman grinding on the court, and then grinding off the court at his first Wendy's). It was truly inspiring. I think the best way to put it is that, the makers of this video truly cared about and admired its subject...that rubbed off, and there's no faking it. Salud.

After hearing about how players in all the major organizations are broke just a few years after retiring it's great to hear of a success story!! ESPN put out the documentary where they showed the statistics. Why didn't they explain how others have been able to buck the trend(get it? BUCK? MILWAUKEE BUCKS!!!)?Not only would it have helped up and coming athletes but it would certainly help those playing now!! I guess people just like to hear of negative stories!! The major organizations should partner with this guy and develop a course where he could teach players on what they can do!! Remember, IT'S NOT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MAKE....IT'S HOW MUCH YOU SPEND!! WOMEN, CARS AND JEWELRY DEPRECIATE IN VALUE INSTANTLY!! SO OF THOSE 3 ONLY HAVE A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THEM!!! My son just signed a MLB contract and his agent has an outside organization that comes in to help prepare the player for life after baseball. The organization actually changes depending on what year the player is in and type of contract. The meetings all center around SAVINGS over investments. Not by much but it's slanted in that direction. It's pretty interesting. The question I asked is if all agents offer this. I was told no and the players union and the sports league doesn't either!!! Crazy to think that considering they're dealing mainly with inner city kids that are the first in the family to earn a 6 digit salary!!
