They could've just made another generic epic battle music but the mixing of traditional Japanese/modern western has no right to be this good, hypes you up like no other. Probably my favorite theme out of any total war game.
I had a bloody battle as Otomo, when defensive, outnumbered I lost the battle, and only surviving unit was my general with 5 of his guards left. I was fighting that battle with though of inflicting as much casualties to enemy as I can with no hope of survival
The few remaining hits consisting of some Black bear infantry, bird force, and only 6 of your original 24 General’s bodyguard against all of your opponents force and still managing to win
The fact that Japan managed to integrate western technology and culture in only 20 years is the most impressive achievement in human history. I have so much respect for them. They did everything they could to remain independent and had the guts to defy western supremacy.
There is something so exhuberant about this song. Like, it really communicates the feeling of overwhelming joy that must come from having survived a difficult and victorious battle.
Never played this game ever, i am familiar with the Rome Total war classic saga, but i have seen some gameplay about Shogun Total War 2. Wishing to purchase this game as soon as possible as a big fan of feudal Japan, samurais, ninjas, the Date Clan and the Christian Japanese Clan of Otomo!
It’s satisfying hearing this in the first place, but even more satisfying *If you went full “BANZAI!!” mode with a traditional army full of samurai against a big giant ugly line of “soldiers” given guns*
Does anyone know what is the name of the instrument from 0:42 to 1:00 ? sounds like a wind instrument but I can't figure it out, or perhaps some kind of cello ?
