Hi lovely! I posted in my community page that I have been very unwell. And since that post I've actually been admitted to hospital again. But don't worry! They will be coming! I've been on bed rest for a while and it's been so hard not to watch outlander cause it's so good 😭😅 but definitely saving outlander so we can all watch together. I cannot wait until I am better enough to watch the next episode. Those beidgerton ones I had filmed in one night so they are slowly coming out as I get better. I do apologise for the delay! 💜 I am glad you like my reactions just as much as I love doing them! 💜 xx

Try to find Cait's chemistry test with Sam. You can see it from the very beginning. They are also great friends in real life, although they only met at the chemistry test. Keep going girl.

I'll tell you, 'cos it's not a spoiler - Graham McTavish, who plays Dougal is a great friend of Sam, and he says that Sam IS Jamie because he is such a good and generous and caring man in real life , so he is the King of Men like Jamie. In the show, Murtagh (Duncan LaCroix - also a good friend of Sam) is the faithful friend and godfather of Jamie. You may see that everyone who acts with Sam says the same. Everything I've seen him in, his co-stars, producers, directors, everybody say what a good man he is. (You may also notice that I absolutely adore him 😊).@ItsRebeccaKate
@sallymcdade5416 awwww I feel like i get that vibe too like you can tell he'd be such a beautiful person on set and off. I knew I'd love Dougal! I dunno why he just gives me the vibe that he is going to ve quite protective of Claire and Jamie and I'm excited to see the friendship grow!

Just wait for ep 7. We're in 1743 by the way, she has travelled back 202 years. There will be plenty of loving, but plenty of heartbreak as well, so be prepared. We are currently waiting for season 7b to be aired in November. They are filming season 8 (the final season 😢, as we speak, so you have have a lot to look forward to. Keep with it, it's so worth it.

You're doing a review, not a reaction. Watch some other reactors and you'll see you don't need to pause after every nanosecond and then talk for 5 minutes.

It's interesting that the producers said they could see the difference in Tobias Menses (the actor who played Frank/Jack). When he was Frank he was a kind, polite, and a bit funny person, but when he put on that red coat he was someone else entirely. Like a man used to command, he was curt, impatient and a little dismissive. If the crew were going for a pint after filming they would tell him "Bring Frank. Leave Captain Randall here." I'll warn you here, it gets worse. The romance and intimacy is wonderfully done but the violence is intense and put a lot of people off watching this show.
I'm also new to this!!! Had to take a short break cause I was in hospital but I'll be back up and binging this awesome show next week! Honestly loving the show already. I feel like it kinda has a found family too it. Like Claire and the Scott's are going to become friends and family and its beautiful. Also Jamie is definitely eye candy haha xx

@juliacher1987 it does mean a lot and I find the community of the outlander fans have welcomed me so gracefully even though I'm still learning and I am loving the show. I find the fans so knowledgeable! Ans they are helping me learn about everything as I go. Honestly it's been soo hard not to watch outlander while I've been on bed rest it's sooo good But I wanna watch it with you guys! It's a fun experience and I never wanna butcher it for someone I just wanna make you beauties happy ans enjoy it with me 🩷🩷

@@ItsRebeccaKate It is a great place to visit, I'm lucky enough to live in the middle of quite a number of filming locations a couple of them 10 to 15 minutes away. By the way I liked your commentary style, I'm not a RU-vid expert but I do know quite a lot of reactors have problems with copy right strikes and if that is your way around it fair enough😊

You have to remember that the doctors who warned against them (a century later, when their constructionwas different) were the same doctors who performed blood letting for just about anything under the sun. The lack of medical interventions available is also a valid reason for a father to preserve his daughters vertue at the time. With no birth control, abortion or effective medicine for venereal diseases extramerital affairs could be devestating. I'm obviously not for slut shaming or beatings of any kind. I just wantvto pointbout that sexual freedom is tied to modern medicine as well as modern ideals of liberty.

Yes I was going to ask the same thing. Much better viewing for us if she takes notes and discuss during outro or voice thoughts during "down time" when no ones talking. As much as I LOVE Outlander reactions and watch almost all I find, I'm not sure I can watch this style. And that's not a diss, just my own opinion on react style. Music reactors who do this try to guess a song meaning after each line, when if they'd just keep listening their questions or guesses are answered. Just watch the show and quit trying to guess the scene every 20 seconds.
I've noticed watching more, the scenes are so short and cut right before talking. We wanna see Jamie and Claire, we know the scenes in these episodes and I'm not sure we're going to get them. I'll know before ep.7 if it'll be worth the watch.

@@ItsRebeccaKate It is difficult to figure out what makes youtube happy. On my reactions I try to keep any length of scene to less than 10 seconds. ( this also works because of background music) If I want a bit more of a monologue, even cutting out half a second when there is a pause works. I may also just throw a 1 second mute behind where I'm speaking and it's hopefully less noticeable. My first few episodes of Six Feet Under were blocked a few times until I played around with it. The youtube ai also senses what's visually on screen so maybe put words or make it semi transparent. It's also easier when the show/movie is the small thing. There was a time music video reactors were making the videos practically thumbnail sized. Lol Hope any of this helps.
Hello again! So, I love recommending books, and I made a note I can copy and paste because my rec list is long and takes ages to type. I know at least ACOTAR is on my list, but I don't think there's any others that you already have. I'm not as into dark romance, I have dabbled, but not much. I did enjoy Butcher and Blackbird lol. I have eclectic tastes; I have a wide range of genres on my shelves. And my total book count is over 1000. Many of these are older, but I've never been a fan of following the latest trend. Plus some of the authors are ones I pulled from my parents' shelves when I started reading adult books at age 10. Fae: ACOTAR and Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series. Historical romance: Nicole Jordan, Jane Feather, Judith McNaught, and the Bridgerton series. Dragons: I love GOT, but Elizabeth Kerner's Lesser Kindred have my heart. I also love Keri Arthur's Myth and Magic series. Vampires: Maggie Shayne's Wings in the Night series. Zombies: Joseph Talluto's White Flag of the Dead series. Paranormal with a ton of types: Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Especially Acheron and Styxx. Those two books are ones I would save from flames. Paranormal with ghosts: Heather Graham. Psychic powers and govt experiments: Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series. One of those is actually my main comfort book. Atlantis: Gena Showalter. She has other good series as well. Paranormal Christian: Alton Gansky. Sappy Christian: Grace Livingston Hill and Janette Oke. Awesome Christian: Francine Rivers, her books Redeeming Love and Atonement Child are favs, and her Mark of the Lion series is brilliant. I also love Ted Dekker's Circle series. YA: Garth Nix's Abhorsen series. Action adventure: Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt series. Sci-fi: Michael Crichton. Murder Mystery: Mary Higgins Clark. Westerns: Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour. Classics: Tolkien, Lewis, Austen, Shakespeare. And my absolute favorite is unique. It was my mother's favorite and my grandmother's favorite; her copy is so worn you can't read it. Give Us This Valley by Tom Ham. 100 years old, out of print, and a joy to read. Frontier man finding a wife and striking out for a new homestead when the wild frontier in America was Georgia.
Black Jack Randall. One of the worst villains I've ever seen. Yes, we all hate him. Jamie is a sweet boi and yes, we all love him. He's beautiful on the inside as well. Now you know when she is! Fun fact, the King George that's ruling right now is the same King George that's ruling in Queen Charlotte (not the actor, the historical figure lol) She's English and the English are being horrible to the Scots at this time, so they're incredibly suspicious of her. The older guy, Dougal, is played by such a good actor! He's the Lord Commander in House of the Dragon. Graham McTavish. Jamie's father had a different name, his mother was Ellen MacKenzie. Sister of Colum and Dougal. So Jamie is technically another clan through his father, but could switch allegiances and be part of clan MacKenzie if he wished. Laoghaire, the girl accused of ‘loose behavior’ (which could've been as innocent as kissing a boy), would've gotten the strap, which is basically a belt. She would've been harshly spanked, for lack of better description, because she's female and that is a relatively easier punishment. Jamie volunteered to take the punishment, but the strap would be embarrassing for him, as a man, so he requested fists instead. They didn't lock the door, I don't know why they made it look like they did, maybe to really bring home the fact that she can't leave? This is just her ‘doctor's office’ now. She still sleeps upstairs. They suspect her, but they still treat her with respect, because they're honorable people. I'm so excited to see your reactions!!
