Dude, do the level match after each move. You raised the like peak 12 db so obviously it sounds much louder and "better". Also that steep cut at the low end raises the peak like hell. Pitch envelope tip was cool, im going to try that.
Dope! I love seeing the workflow. I think having the push 3 will make Ableton feel more natural for me. I am a hardware guy. How did you find learning the workflow?
@@dzerobeatz thank you! Yes it’s literally the perfect companion for Ableton Live. The work flow is easy tbh. What I like about having the push 3 in standalone is that it allows you to focus on making music. For me I’m able to sketch ideas quickly without worrying about trying to mix or arrange as I go. It also forces me to think out of the box. I think with future updates the push 3 is only going to get better.
@@soundsbysev Awesome, thank you. Thats exactly what im looking for. I just get overwhelmed in the DAW. I just want to chop a sample add my drums and lay down a bass line without thinking about anything else. Thank you for the quick reply and I will definitely be keeping an eye on your channel . Great work
Very nice bro, thank you. Maybe try to explain the things you press to do what you do rather than just say it and expect everyone to understand it, some of us are beginners and can't figure out somethings if not carefully broken down. Little things like how you shifted the pitch without just dialing it in or turning the knob are very important for workflow, took me a while to figure out you just clicked on it and pressed SHIFT + ⬆️, Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback! The shortcuts I used are recorded in the video they should appear as you watch the video. But I’ll be more concise next time! Thanks for watching. 🙏🏾
Thanks brother, I just subbed, looking forward to seeing more amazing content. I'll go through all your tutorials tonight when I get home from work.. @@soundsbysev
@@Krisaustralia when you select your wav file the content editor should open at the bottom on the left hand side under the clip menu, you should see next to the bpm of your wav sample a halve tempo button and double original tempo button. Select the double tempo button and turn your sample down a half octave and you'll have that half speed effect.
The MPC is great the workflow is easy once you get used to it, they have a new update coming so I’m not sure how that changes things but the MPC is fully capable. The push is great too, it’s not there yet when it comes to standalone, the midi editor is not nearly as good as the MPC software. If you’re looking for a device that can control your outboard gear seamlessly the Push is a great option for live performance and outboard gear. I feel the MPC has great plugins and a few great instruments but those come at a cost whereas you can use Ableton native stock plugins on the push with your copy of suite. Plus you have the added edition of using your Push as a synthesizer because of the Ableton stock synthesizer instruments. Both devices have unique work flows if your working exclusively with samples and the virtual instruments the 37 is for you but it does come with a cost to get those instruments (but in controller mode you can use your vsts on your computer) where as the push in controller mode gives you that flexibility of using stock sounds but also you can have a laptop hooked up and use your already purchased. Hope this helps
I forgot to mention I’m not sure what the storage options are like on the MPC 37. The push does have upgradable hardware but they haven’t made it known to the public yet in regard to being to swap the hard drive with third party parts yet. That’s something to consider too
Im using 12 actually! For audio clips you can go into the audio editor and click reverse, for midi you can open the midi editor and select all your notes, reverse and then freeze and flatten your midi, then finally reverse the audio clip.
Thanks So I do have an MPC Live 2, I feel like Sampling on the Push 3 is much more straight forward and easy to get right to it. Drum programming is easy on the Push 3 but I prefer programming drums on the MPC because I have access to the piano roll and I’m able to copy n paste notes from one track to another like for 808’s and stuff. I can do that on the Push 3 but it requires me to have to program my kicks on a separate track and copy the data that way. But other than that they are both great! So just for making beats the Push 3 is great, with future updates and tweaks I think it may be able to hold its own against the MPC workflow. However I feel like the MPC has way more plugins and effects that I wish I had access to on the push. Hope this helps
when i shift and drag its just continues a loop.. not stretch.. I also dont see that warp button panel thing at the bottom left like you have why is that how do i get that.?? helpp
@@soundsbysev 12 the newest one, I dont think the warp button or audio panel thing is showing up like yours or others im seeing is because my sample clip is on a midi track and NOT an audio track ..?
@@Nick-hb3jv It has to be an audio track. You have insert your sample into an audio track to access to the audio clip editor. Then you'll be able to see the warp settings.
The user interface might be the same although I’m not sure but you won’t be able to plug in audio equipment to your push directly. You will have to plug into your audio interface instead.
Hey, awesome video. I'm curious about how you connected the Push to other gear. Specifically, where does that yellow cable go from the headphone output? Thanks for getting back to me. And again, props for the great job on the video.
Is it possible to layer drums through the push or can you only do that through live by holding command and dragging the one shot to the pad where the other one shot is?
@@campar1043 load up a drum rack and add the sounds that you would like to use. If you want to layer a kick with another you can hold the duplicate button on the push and select the sound you want to copy then select an empty pad and just program your drums
I use an external for my VST plugins and can't find the location of the Loopcloud VST file. Anyone know where it's initially installed so i can drag it over to my vst2 folder that Ableton scans?
