hey man when you slice yo stuff manually what key do you press to make cuts on the fly while the samples playing? Having a hard time figuring it out. Also appreciate the content man keep it up.
This was a solid tutorial! I like watching everyone's sampling methods. Do you download samples from youtube? if so, can you recommend any safe websites to use?
How are you getting the sliced sample into the new midi clip you created? What is the mechanism that is bringing the file over into the new midi clip, I feel like I am missing something
All you have to do is insert a midi clip in the arrangement or session view on the track that has your simpler. Then start from the low octave C1 in the piano roll to program your midi.
Yes it's just preference. When you chop samples in the Arrangement view you have alot more control of the audio in my opinion. I personally think it's alot quicker to find chops and organize them.
@@soundsbysev Thanks for answering! I might have had them mixed up, but I prefer to chop using simpler in Session view. but I guess its all about mixing too.
I chopped the loop in its entirety. Then I added slice markers to demonstrate how to chop that sample. The video is meant to serve as guide on how to chop samples.
