I started collecting WNBA when Fleer was around, but have none of the new stuff. Some of the #'d inserts are bazillions of dollars. That sticker card is perfect for on card. I miss Portland Fire. Styles was good.
CGC have the best looking slabs hands down! I've only graded a few cards with them, but they actually grade fairly and kind of tough. I don't think ive seen a CGC to PSA crossover where the grade got worse. Its usually the same grade and a couple with a slight bump in grade. The new look is so nice, i just wish the resale value on them was the same as PSA. Unfortunately, the "hobby" has dictated that PSA remains king and see no change in that coming. Now with SGC under the Collectors umbrella, hard to know the ultimate future of SGC. I mainly have graded with PSA and also SGC, but mostly just PSA now. I don't really sell my cards, i just collect and mainly just one player since 1988. That was an amazing turnaround time and that is not really normal 😂....if the "hobby" viewed CGC as complete equal to PSA, I'd probably have half my collection graded by them because cards in those holders just look SO NICE! When you do these reveals, you should do like a complete financial breakdown of everything. Alot of people enjoy that. You'll always have the few that love to see others lose money on grading or certain cards or declining value on a player, but overall i know people get alot of knowledge knowing what you exactly spent including all the shipping and how much you sold each card and the profit or loss you had on each and overall. Obviously, you don't have to do that, but ive heard from other content creators that people will specifically fast forward to the breakdown. 🤷
I like your running commentary and enthusiasm. As a collector and keeper of thousands and thousands of cards for over 45 years. It is extremely hard to watch you handle and flip your cards. Thumbs and fingers all over the cards and even worse, your supposed to lock your card in the package so no chance of it sliding out, but you do the opposite and it makes me cringe every time.
@@smitshowcollectibles2507 you said above "1 year ago I graded a few of the Jagrs....got a PSA 10 on one of them...moved it for $125" so now they all got psa 10's and went for more? come on man lol. the english ones also don't get close to $150usd, you would need a french variation to get that.
The reason why this rookie class is so loaded is that it’s a quadruple rookie class. The important sets to get all of the Rookies are O Pee Chee, Upper Deck and Score. However the most valuable is O Pee Chee Premiere. Upper Deck had the nicest cards and had Ed Belfour, Scott Niedermayer and Pavel Bure. O Pee Chee had a bunch of Russian team players including Arturs Irbe. Score had Olaf Kolzig, Martin Brodeur and Eric Lindros. All the other 30-something RCs are shared amongst most/all sets. The number of #1 OA RCs are as follows: Modano, Sundin, Owen Nolan, Eric Lindros…that’s four draft classes in a row, and even Joe Murphy has a RC in the class.
Sgc is known for being hard with the centerin criteria. The 8.5 magneto, is very off center front vertically, something like a 1 pt. Another half for edges/minor print surface issues/naked eye corner softness
Watching you not know anything about hockey is embarrassing. You’re the reason I got out of collecting. You don’t know these players. You don’t know the values. You’re just a donkey.
Thanks for watching. I was super impressed with my box. I actually didn't know what some of those inserts were til after I was done and looked them up. That Ali Krieger is a short print. Parkside makes such a quality product.
