Even after all these years I keep coming back to this edit. I love it so much! Luke is my favorite Star Wars character and I love how you highlighted his virtues. What J.J. Abrams did to Luke was wrong, Luke Skywalker would never self exile himself after his nephew Ben Solo destroyed the Jedi Academy, I believe he would dust himself off and start a new academy.
The interesting fact about this song is that it’s a hymnal. Originally heard or written (i don’t remember) by Johnny Cash, then became popular as a Johnny Cash song. It is about the hope of death not having power over you, for when God comes to earth, all the dead will rise. When the angels blow the trumpets. So it technically could apply to Anakin, just not in the sense that’s shown here. As a symbol of hope, even after half a life spent in what one might call a casket, he eventually comes back to light and the darkness does not have power over him. Luke’s love saves him. There ain’t no grave can hold my body down…
this video reminds me of the amazing chemistry between Mark, Carrie and Harrison....and how much of an opportunity was wasted when the Disney sequels didn't bother reuniting all 3 of them in even one scene. And now it's something that will never happen since we lost Carrie. It's only one reason for my dislike of the sequels. One of many. Rest in Peace, Princess.
