@@christinabeyer9298 Bruh since when? They are clearly romantically attracted towards each other - Moriarty even suggests sexual attraction. And it's literally coded in Sherlock's brain - that the only reason he didn't fall with Moriarty was because of his friends. You don't have to be on the same side to be soulmates.

@@panonymousbloom5405 Sorry to ruin the party, but even Moriarty knew who his Sherlocks heart he wanted to burn out of him. "They are really romantically attracted to each other." Please make me laugh. The only common bond between them is obsession, Sherlock wanted to destroy Moriarty who was his worst enemy and vice versa.

​@@christinabeyer9298 If you insist, from the start; The moment Sherlock heard Moriarty's name he was hooked, because he knew out there, there was someone like him. The whole episode 3 is spent on developing and showing that they got really addicted. Moriarty basically bets his whole life and empire on this game. Sherlock risks his "heart" - everyone closest to him. Throughout the episode, it's clear as water that they are trying to impress each other. It's basically a play, or dance if you will. Peacocking their brains. It's also interesting to note how deeply personal each of the cases were - his first case in the first flat, (suggested) Moriarty's first murder (which also suggest that their fates/lives were intertwined from the start), the second case, imperium build around the business of crime, God with two faces - Moriarty gives him a clue, basically spelling out that he doesn't care about the case, he cares about Sherlock's performance. Then the third case, siblings hate. Fourth, knowledge about space (that John just wrote about in his blog). He's telling Sherlock that he's listening and watching. The calls "We were made for each other." that Sherlock never disagrees with. In fact, he cannot wait for another message. He's like on uppers, not eating, finding it impossible to sit still. Restless. When John suggested that the whole thing is only for Sherlock, John feels disgusted. Sherlock agrees with a smirk. On John's blog, he notes that every time he mentions Moriarty, Sherlocks eyes lit up. When they meet up, they are basically flirting all the time, complementing each other, admiring each other but staying on their own sides. Moving on to season two, Sherlock was basically going to let Irene win until she mentioned Moriarty but hey, that's not too solid. Last episode, Moriarty's trying to reduce Sherlock to his own level. No allies, no friends, no family. He was trying to build a story but why? Why bother, he's already got everything he presumably wanted - the imperium, the cases. And then he *killed himself*. You can't win if you're dead. What was he trying to do so badly? Create an ending to the story. The final problem - nobody can win so they must lose together. Except he underestimated Sherlock allies, just like Sherlock underestimated his. What is the point in all of that if not to impress each other? If not to dance? Later, Sherlock got shot and we see that Moriarty is still in him, even after the ending. Sherlock already won, destroyed Moriarty, but he can't forget him. Magnussen lists Moriarty as Sherlock's pressure point, alongside John and Irene. What does that mean? Later, all the Moriarty we see is, in fact, Sherlock's subconsciousness. Sherlock talks to him to calm himself, to understand loss and pain. Moriarty there both gives him the motivation to live (saving John) and wants Sherlock to stay there with him. And it's all Sherlock. The duty to save his friend wins yet again. But we can't ignore that the need to stay is there. What does that mean? Season fourth I don't remember, and I don't care to watch for the sake of an argument but if we talk about the abominable bride, there we also see Moriarty in his subconsciousness. He's more flirty then ever. He implies that Sherlock wants him to be the solution. And everyone implies that Sherlock misses him. Sherlock's own head implies that he misses him. He never disagrees. Moriarty says that he is always there when Sherlock falls, isn't that... Comforting? He doesn't need to be scared of falling but John keeps him from doing so, even if Sherlock wants it sometimes. Every time, he almost gives up to the Moriarty, to the darkness, if it's not for John. He files his interaction's with Moriarty in his mind palace, perfectly saved. Why? It won't give him anything since Moriarty's dead. Destroyed, if you will. Last thing, Sherlock and dream John refer to feelings in his worldview a "crack in the lense". The same thing that Moriarty is called later by dream Mycroft. It's clear - sentiment. He has sentiment towards Moriarty and in fact, wants him to be alive. He's never alone because he's with Moriarty. Interesting, isn't it? It's all... Not very subtle. Whatever he feels towards Moriarty is on the same level he feels towards Irene and maybe even John. Call it what you like, romantic attraction, just feelings. But it's written to be it. Calling it a simple "reality" or "hatred" is a gross oversimplification of their relationship in my opinion.

@@panonymousbloom5405Don't try to convince me Sherlock never forget Moriarty, he was glad about he could destroy the criminal network of his worst enemy and counterpart and he was not a part of his life anymore. Yes Moriarty was still in Sherlocks head, but only there when he was about to die and to tell him John Watson is definetly in danger and Sherlock has to save him. Even Moriarty knew who is Sherlocks heart which he wanted to burn out of him, who is most important to him, and it's not Moriarty himself. Yes they try to impress each other on the same intellectual level, they "played" which each other, and Moriarty was for Sherlock a real intellectual challenge, and we knew who won here. Even in ACD stories won Sherlock Holmes over James Moriarty at the Reichenbach falls in "The last problem," Moriarty died, Sherlock Holmes survived the fall. May be Moriarty is one of Sherlocks pressure points, I don't know it exactly, but his main pressure point is someone else and will for ever be: John Watson, his first priority, the person who he will always thinks first. John Watson is on a much more higher level on importance Irene Adler and Moriarty can ever be. Sherlock is really lost without his blogger, it's only John Watson who keeps him right. It's just the two of them against the rest of the world. Remember in Tab mind palace Moriarty also said at the fall to Sherlock and John: "Why do you two not elope for gods sake." And John was at the end who saved Sherlock from his worst nightmare: To end up with Moriarty. Moriarty is really dead, and I don't care about an evil psychopath who dealt with Sherlocks sister and liked perfid mind games like her to burn the heart out of Sherlock. Have a nice day.
