From memory, yes they do. But please check directly for something as important as this - also, the electricity supply wasn't enormously reliable, unfortunately.
I own this pack and think the review is fantastic. I love the bag but it has its quirks and the review is honest about those. I also really like the presentation style which is authentic, warm and personable.
Hello! Adult tickets are around 20 Euros - you can find the latest deals etc here kristallwelten.swarovski.com/Content.Node/wattens/Tickets.en.html#!/e/ff82ff473d9529a8fa5386d8026aa2e4
I feel like yours is the first review to actually explain why this bag exists. I was pretty fascinated by it but didn't understand the use cases it was aiming at, until now. Thank you, great review!
we are going in august, will there still be snow there? It's not a biggie but i'm from australia so we never see snow, if there is a place in austria that snows in summer I will definitely visit. is there a hotel in these high snowy areas too in the summer?
During the summer, most of Austria will be bathed in sunshine but you can still find snow in some places. Here's a good one: www.insidethetravellab.com/hintertux-glacier-austria/
for everyone interesteg in youth culture, here are some austrian bands which are popular right now in Austria. Here is a list and an example-song: Bilderbuch ("Maschin", "Plansch") Leyya ("Zoo", "The Fall", "Solitude") Wanda ("Columbo", "Bolognia") Naked Cameo ("Shangri La", "Dead Weight") Sharktank ("HAPPY", "Too much") Josh. ("Cordula Grün", "Von dir ein Tattoo") Folkshilfe ("Mir laungts", "Maria Dolores") Pressyes ("Atlantic Ocean Spray", "Years") My Ugly Clementine ("Who", "The Good The Bad The Ugly") One ticket should not be more than 40€. Most tickets will be more like 25€. Because "big bands" in austria are still kind of "small" compared to Coldplay, Rammstein etc, but we love them. If you have the chance to visit a concert, do it :D
A normal ski jacket will keep you warm. I've been twice - last time was 2022, I believe. First time was many years before that and it hadn't been opened up as much to the public yet...
Gerne.
Just visited this a few weeks ago. Our guide was Roman Erler (in 4:18). I didn't know he was the person who discovered the ice cave till after the tour! It was the non-tourist season and they didn't do the usual thing of splitting the group into German and English speakers, and so I probably missed out on listening about how he discovered the place.
He's such an interesting guy - it's so good to hear the story from him. So sorry I found this comment so late - but glad you got to experience the ice cave.
was there end of sept.. many hotels closed bc lack of service crew. existing crews not austrian but from hungaria - with no german or english. many hikers pissed because mountain restaurants closed even announced in internet to be open. good old tyrol is gone.
@@kaiseri.4641 you might be right. But this phenomen at present happens over all of Germany and Austria. I wonder where these 10 of thousands of people have gone to.
I honestly have the BIGGEST problems with sleep. I can't wear an eyemask because I have texture sensitivity. I can't use a travel pillow because whatever way I use it, my neck aches just as much as if I hadn't used at all so with or without, the aches which is not conducive to sleep. I can't take melatonin or any sleep aids because they make me feel awful and often throw up which I'd rather NOT do on a plane. So yeah, lucky to get 30 mins A thing I find also helps with the dryness, if your skin gets super dehydrated, buy a little empty spray bottle and fill it with water after security to mist on if your skin feels icky. I also find even if you take plugs you should take a power bank because I guess I'm just the unluckiest person ever but even if the airport or my seat has a charging place, I always get the one isn't working! That or at airports when people are all filling up the seats by the charging stations, which is even more annoying when no one is using it and there's plenty of other seats! I'm always too polite to ask someone to move!
Only on the glaciers that you need to take a cable car to reach. The more accessible parts of the mountains will not be covered in snow. Sorry this reply is so late - hope you had a good trip!
Wonderful thanks for all your suggestions. One additional suggestion I would give is instead of bringing a bag to make the footstool I recently bought folding padded small leg hammock that I has a strap I place over my tray table hinge and its adjustable and it allows your legs to be raised and stretched out in front under the seat ahead of you. Makes sleeping in coach on long haul flights much much easier and more comfortable. Also melatonin tablets or mild sleeping tablet like Tempazepam is a great help with sleeping on long flights.
Sigh... it must be nice to be short enough that when you stick your legs in a scarf tied to the tray table they're actually stretched out, rather than just bent the same way they are on the floor except in the air.
@@howtosober it’s not a scarf it’s a memory foam foldable hammock and i’m 5foot 8in and it works well for me. you adjust the strap so your feet sit horizontal right under the seat in front.
It's a nice video, but there's a lot wrong with it! I come from Kirchdorf, the neighboring community of St.Johann! At minute 2:58 this is not the Harschbichel but the long mountain grade is called Niederkaiser! The Harschbichel is on the Kitzbüheler Horn in St.Johann where the gondola lift goes up, and right at the top is the Harschbichelhütte of the same name! And that at the end with the bunny of the show dairy where the cheese is made is not St.Johann but in Gasteig municipality of Kirchdorf at Bernd Widauer, because the daughter is in a relationship with my cousin! Greetings from Kirchdorf!
Regarding hats, I have managed to lose 2 Tilley hats on 2 separate vacations, both cruises as it turns out and they were successive tho about 2 years apart, the first ended up in the Caribbean Sea and the second in Barcelona or on one of the Spanish Islands in a restaurant (I forgot to pick it up when we left the restaurant after lunch). I still to replace it again. Lol 😊.
very helpful, thanks! I found that weight matters for me since I am small, so I do a lot of preparation to get everything weighted and only bring what I really need!
