Hi! We are Beerend and Charlotte. Last year we quit our 9-to-5 jobs and bought a 4,6 hectare property in the Swedish wilderness to pursue our dream of living in the woods.
Follow our journey of renovating the 120 year old house, the cabin, the barn and other buildings on the land. As well as our plans for the garden, such as growing our own food.

Smart, neither deer nor moose can jump over a two meter high fence. But birds, squirrels, etc. will also be attracted to your "set table" with lots of yum yum. Have fenced off a small area myself. There I also have a small mini-pond with water lilies in a large tub which has attracted wonderful little frogs that have become semi-tame (a little tip).
Hello Beerend and Charlotte, the garden looks like a lot of thought and planning went into it. Hopefully, it will yield good result for you in time. Interestingly, as I watch your videos and your way of doing things, I am often reminded of the American couple from the turn of the century, Helen and Scott Nearing. They were into simple living and self-sufficient homesteading way before it was a thing and they have written a book called 'Loving and Leaving the Good Life' which is about their two homesteading projects, in Vermont then in Main. They were a remarkable couple way ahead of their time and an inspiration to many to this day.
Mhmmm… you don’t store firewood in your living room. If the wood gets warmed up all the little crawler will come out. Fire wood can be stored outside, just cover it with a metal sheets or use the barn as firewood storage. It’s a tiny house, it would be a real waste of room.
Dear guys , your tree cages will fail because deer are tall with long necks . The cage must be 6 feet high and about 2 feet out from the tree and the wire should be rigid since they will just lean in and bend the wire down to eat the leaves 😢

Tip! Watch out for the invasive Arion vulgaris, they are voracious and quickly eat plants of all kinds. They have now adapted to our colder climate and are spreading further north in Sweden. They are a great scourge to all growers. Good luck with your crops.
WOW, totally impressed with all the work and order you are putting into a veggie garden! The animals, although a big nuisance, are amazing and a great thing to have around.
I’m loving your channel. I like how calm and relaxing your presentation style is. Just one small point, to make it easier for new comers to watch from the beginning, it would help if your playlist went from 1 at the top, down to the latest, so the ‘play all’ feature can be selected. Thank you!
Super job done, allebei! Complimenten! Just curious. Groetjes Willemien
Groetjes
It looks wonderful, spacious and homey. The high ceilings really help add to the open feeling. What a welcome change, I am guessing, after your camper!
Thanks! The camper was very nice. But it's the little things, like walking around the bed instead of sliding out, and a bigger kitchen with an oven which makes this very nice indeed.
Have to admire your work, but it pains me to watch anyone nowadays knocking nails in one by one lol, if only you had a battery powered nail gun you could have done most of the cladding in next to no time at all - but i take my hat off to you and your quality of workmanship
