Christian names in countries where they did not originally come from is freaky as hell especially when you consider that Christianity is the reason for the oppression of the majority of these nations.
I would like to know which of these names is senegalese? Pure senegalese names... Because many of these names are arabic/muslims names with local pronounciation. E.g. Mamadou is Muhammed... If senegalese people do not use their proper senegalese names anymore, that is just sad...in that case it shows how much the arabic translaves trade have made sure to lose all their true identity.
I’m from Puerto Rico and my mom is Afro-Caribbean and my dad is half Afro Caribbean and Native American Caribbean. I’ve been wanting to return to my true roots and rename myself a name my ancestors would’ve name their children. We have Ghanaian and Nigerian roots. This video just inspired me! Thank you sister for reminding me that I’m royalty ♥️!
I'm trans masculine and of Vai west African descent, and I'm getting a legal name change soon. I'm just looking for a guy name to make my name as gender neutral as possible. This was very helpful, thanks ☺️🎉
