What if some idiot threw away the broken off piece? Would it work if I could find a round piece about the same circumference as the original? Or does it need the metal part at the top? I haven't used my sewing machine but like once, many yrs ago, so I can't remember.
Can you do a video of maintenancing this machine? It’s weird that it tells me nothing about servicing or cleaning in the manual! Do I even need to lube/oil it?
hey im having trouble putting back the black thing where you put the bobin in. I took it out accidentally and am having trouble putting it back in ? is there any way to fix this?
Sewing speed range can be varied by the control which is located either beside machine socket or on foot control. For high speed range , set the switch at "High" mark.
@@cameronmitchum4154 I don't have the machine on my hand anymore, but I found this might be helpful for you (help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/134071/~/how-to-adjust-the-feed-dogs).
I have the same sewing machine, but my machine keeps broking needle, with regular fabric, not jeans. Can you tell me why that's with my machine. Best regards
I have the same machine the front dial is not working. It only does straight stitching. I took it apart to grease the parts. It does not work with the presser foot.
Hello cat sam, Is this a decent machine? Is it heavy duty enough for making vinyl seat covers? There's one available for free that supposedly needs repair. Thanks!
I won't consider it as a decent machine, but good general machine. It is a heavy duty machine although I hadn't tried on vinyl. Since you can find one for free, why not grab it.
If the bobbin case has been installed correctly, that's probably the thread clearance for the bobbin case need to be readjusted. The upper thread needs to go through smoothly on the bobbin case area.
@@catsam1429 If I keep the slide plate open and sew, it works. If I close the slide plate, top thread is going inside the bobbin area and getting tangled.... As far as I understand, thread clearance to the bobbin case is provided...
new to sewing, i tried to load the bobbin with thread and im pretty sure i did everything correctly but when i put my pedal down to start loading it nothing happens??
@@catsam1429Yes. I think I figured it out now. Do you have a more detailed video on threading the needle in specific? I have the same machine but I want to make sure i’m doing it right
