Hey what's up, Welcome to the channel! Here I post videos about pretty much everything Sonic, if you like what you see here, consider dropping a sub and becoming a Speedster!
For me Nine is the best tail's, one that dosent depends on sonic, or a villein that sonic cannot defeat on his own, if he tries he fails, unlike him defeating egg man
I agree that nine is interesting, but I’d hardly say his actions are justified. Just because life has been cruel to him doesn’t give him the right to risk destroying the entire Multiverse. That is literally genocide.
The funniest thing is that I was actually not that surprised to see Kingdom Valley in the game lol. I was expecting some '06 content since it's an important game for Shadow and Kingdom Valley is one of its most iconic stages. I get why people were not expecting acknowledgement of older and generally more derided titles like that one, but to me, we had already crossed that bridge when they made Black Doom the main villain lmao
This was a lovely video! I didn't like how Nine was written in season 3, because I thought he went too far with his actions and because I definitely think his character resolution was rushed and unsatisfactory - what a shame Sonic essentially leaves him stranded in the Grim, really, his whole character was about how he just wanted a friend and that's how he's left at the end of the show. But aside from that, I love Nine in Sonic Prime, and I definitely loved him in season 1 and 2. I'm with you that the ending of season 2 is awesome, it was a great way of shaking up the dynamic between Sonic and Nine by using all the strength of what they had set up up until that point. Speaking of which, I'm actually of the opinion that I don't think it's quite right to say that Nine betrayed Sonic at that point. You're very right that Sonic had made it clear that he wanted to have Green Hill back, but Nine had made it just as clear that he wanted to use the Prism for the Grim. The two of them just avoided listening to each other, and it came to a head when they actually had to confront each other on what to do. Actually, Nine never accuses Sonic of betraying him for that moment, even when he does accuse Sonic of betraying him for when all of Sonic's friends break into the Grim in season 3 episode 3. That stands out to me because, again, I think Sonic and Nine committed the same fault in the season 2 finale, and Nine certainly holds it against Sonic, but he still doesn't consider that a betrayal, because it wasn't a matter of intentional deception.
What doesn’t but if everything was perfect there would be no point in bettering yourself or others. The problem is that more we search for the perfect tv show the more we going to end disappointing ourselves.
Yeah then sonic prime would make more sense if it's not canon to the video games it's has to many inconsistence then sonic prime would have been the best show of all time if it wasn't canon
Nine was truly a geniusly written character... I really hope Sonic Prime comes back... It was genuinely a breath of fresh air in terms of Sonic media... I never expected to get invested in a sonic show since Sonic X
To be honest in season 3 they attacked him because they didnt believe he was going to keep his word to leave everyone alone after he got sonic but the one thing he proved is he isnt a liar he probably would have. Though i think he couldve worded his intentions better and been like "heres what i wanna do you hand the energy over to me,everyone gets to go back to their normal lives,i can get you home and i can live in peace its a win win

Yeah I do agree on how nine was written and I don't even view him as a villain at all he has no malice towards anyone nor he wants to do anything of that nature the only thing he wants is to leave his Old world behind and then starting a new again not only with friends but also create a family he never had these are pure motivations that we can understand you know some of us have been fatherless and motherless our entire lives and the only type of person we turn to now is ourselves this is why tails backstory is the saddest one there is compared to Dick Grayson because at least for him he does have an adopted father figure like Bruce Wayne even though dick Grayson's not with him as much anymore he does make sure to come back to him every once in awhile but tails he is truly alone constantly being bullied just because he is smart and having two tails and if Sonic never saved him or take him in then tails would have become a broken soul that wants to destroy the world because it treated him like shit and without his parents to keep his morality in check then he will continue to fall further into darkness that he has a hard time getting out of this is why where is my hero is a much better story for me and I'm not saying nines is bad like his story is good but I like where is my hero better because it does give us a accurate depiction of bullies and getting ridiculed I would have done the same if I were in his shoes
It’s a wrong thing for the right reasons. Because how would you feel if you found out that they’re really a fragment of a dimension and you don’t want to cease existing.
i think a problem with social media influencers is they feel the _need_ to make content when its clearly not time for it, because for them its their job and identity. So what ends up happening is a lot of half baked takes that usually dont age well. It's not just a Sonic problem, its with most things. They also make this content because they _know_ certain people take their opinion as gospel. Which is what bothers me a lot. Ive learned to not trust most influencers or fandom "news" channels/personalities.
ive actually been watching Boom recently a bit everyday, and yeah, i noticed how much of a glow up Tails is in this show. He feels like an evolution of his character after the Adventure games and Sonic X, with more comedy thrown in. Also honestly? Boom has my favorite design of his planes. A racing style single wing plane
FINALLY! Somone with some good tastes lol. I agree that Boom Tails is the best version of Tails by far in my opinion. He's the strong, smart and friendly fox we know and love but better! It's one of the few positives i like from sonic boom both from the show AND the games. (Yes i like the game shut up lol)
Sonic Boom does have the best Tails. He's even better than pre-reboot Archie Tails. He's independent, but still is able to rely on his friends, is useful, and is just funny.
I don't know why, but adding Tails engineer/pilot attire made him actually look older and more mature. It also helps that show writers managed to write great banters between him and Sonic while still acting like bros.
I’d argue that just because Tails “fought” Chaos in only his perspective of Adventure, doesn’t mean he’d automatically defeat the Chaos in Forces, the same one who fought both Silver and Knuckles to a standstill in the prequel comic. Forces’ story is not good, but that scene does have some context to it.
there is one instance where he should be scared, scared of lightning, as thats straight up one of his original traits. Boom actually does allude to that in episode Cabin Fever
Okay a couple things for Modern Tails. Metal Virus happened after Forces and the reason he was afraid at certain points was the circumstances. Dark Gaia’s minions were unfamiliar to him. With Chaos 0 maybe he was afraid because he was broken believing Sonic was gone
All that I understand. But chaos 0? No. Sonic has been gone for MONTHS at the time chaos showed up. If sonic really was dead, tails should know DAMN well no one will save him. (I mean by if everyone was busy) tails knows damn well why the hell would he yell “sonic help me” IF HE KNOWS (thought) SONIC WAS DEAD?? Chaos is a literal fucking cup of water. Tails is a mechanic. He should know damn well how to electrocute something. Put something electronic onto or into chaos and the fight is done. Tails is a fraud right there.
Video about Nine, please! My all-time fave! I'm abolutely here for stuff like this and strongly agree with what you had to say about Boom Tails. Really hoping a future game does give us some kind of Tails-centric story arc to focus on his confidence issues and hopefully set some long term growth in motion. That said... there's still an aspect of realism to his inconsistency. I've known and coached many people who similarly just have good days and bad, anxious days; believing their successes are flukes and "THIS TIME" they'll screw up something they've done well at in the past. Whether or not we see a consistent change, I'm always inclined to root for those types.
Thank you so much for the comment! I'm absolutely honored! I will definitely have to consider working on a video about Nine! But absolutely, with Frontiers acknowledging the inconsistencies with Tails, I definitely would like to see Tails possibly get his own game in the future. But again, thank you for the comment, this has absolutely made my day!
You wanna see Eggman as a threat ? Have you not seen the events of Sonic Adventure 2 ? Because if you genuinly think Eggman is just a joke, you've only seen him in the era with Pontac and Graff as writers, who poorly mishandled the personalities of the cast, including Eggman.
Okay, I will say that I like the way they wrote Tails in Boom, but if anything, I adore how Tails is written in IDW. I mean, I haven't read any new issues in several months, but he's basically every version of Tails wrapped into one. He takes initiative in creating a cure for the Metal Virus, knows exactly what to do when Sonic isn't around, and is fully capable of leading others when needed. And he does all of this while still being a little kid, with room for growth and room to make honest mistakes.
This ^ This is how Tails should be, he shouldn't just be known as "The Brains" of Team Sonic. He should be known as a war hero who will lead people and help others in need, not cowering behind Sonic, waiting for Sonic to beat up the nearest big bad.
How do you feel about the way Tails has been written for the past 14 years? Do you think the inconsistency is a bit ridiculous and do you think that with the way Frontiers acknowledges that flaw, that we’ll finally see a change in Tails? Let me know below! I never slept on Theme of Dr. Eggman, and if you liked how emperor-like it sounds, I bet you love the boss theme and final boss theme from Sonic 1. These also give an emperor kind of vibe, or at least for me.
Now that I think about it maybe the Movie Eggman is the perfect Eggman Like he's a good Balance between the Serious like in 06 and the goofy like in Lost World (Both Games are the 2 Extremes imo.)
The Theme of Dr. Eggman from 06 and its alternate versions in my opinion fit the doctor the best of his character themes. The main version sounds both grandiose and imperialistic to fit his character. And it rightfully makes the doctor feel threatening. Whereas the more quieter version sounds more sinister and represents his more scheming side. It’s a shame the theme was only ever used in 06, Unleashed, and Colors.
I think that the 06 Eggman theme and E.G.G.M.A.N. are perfect for Dr.Eggman. The 06 one show his serious side and E.G.G.M.A.N. show's his narcissistic side
Although in SA1, Eggman was definitely leaning more towards goofy than serious, part of that is due to the character perspective thing they were doing. For most of the story, Sonic doesn’t take him seriously, so he’s portrayed more cartoonishly when you’re playing as Sonic, which is by far the longest story. Tails takes him more seriously, so Eggman naturally sounds more sinister when you encounter him in Tails’ story. The first time they run into Eggman in the Mystic Ruins is a good example for comparison. When you’re playing as Sonic, he delivers an upbeat “Hahaha, if it isn’t Sonic!” When you’re playing as Tails, he delivers a menacing “Well, well, well, if it isn’t Sonic and Tails!” Don’t forget that at the end of Tails’ story, he’s so desperate that he tries to detonate a nuke in the middle of the city MANUALLY.
The Robotnik in _SatAM_ was anything BUT comical; He was a cold-hearted dictator with a menacing voice, courtesy of the legendary voice actor Jim Cummings. He turned animals into robots via a process called Roboticization. And unlike the Badniks, which can be destroyed to free the small animals inside, when a person is Roboticized, their flesh and bone becomes metal. As if that weren't bad enough, Robotnik essentially controls them. There's a slim chance that the Robian (Roboticized Mobian) can regain their free will, but that's a big if. _SatAM_ Robotnik didn't mess around.
Seeing this, now I would like to see Silver from 06 officially retaken someday. Making it clear that this Silver is from 06, that it is a different one from the Silver we currently have and that somehow it is still looking for a Happy future. It could explore his background, explain his current ability to travel through time and solve many of the plot holes.
I love it equally to E.G.G.M.A.N., only reason it's not as famous is that it's not as catchy. Drop OG E.G.G.M.A.N. or the ShtH remix at a club and watch me pop off, can't really do that with Theme of Dr Eggman from 06, despite it being brilliant. So yeah, comes down to that I believe. It's not really slept on tho, the 06 OST is always praised to the highest of heavens and rightfully so, Theme of Dr Eggman included. And not only that, Sonic Team has used it many times since. It was in Unleashed, it was in Lost World, *I think* it was in Colors, Gens and Forces too if I'm not mistaken. It is THE Eggman theme pretty much. I harbor similar opinions for His World on a kinda relevant note, His World > It Doesn't Matter ANY day of the week, it's not even close. One is THE theme of Sonic down to the last minute detail with one of the most iconic sounding instrumentals of all time and other is an OK song with occasional lyrics that don't even fit the character that well to begin with.
Great video! One of my favorite things about his theme is how loud it is. Blaring trumpets annoucing his presence, telling everyone who can hear that he’s here, stop what you’re doing, bow before their emperor, or perish. Really sells how important he views himself.
What do you think, chat? Does Eggman even have a defining theme song in the games? Let me know below!
