You're wrong about Shadow's age.

I mean to be fair Shadow is over 50 he just doesn't age at all.

According to the sonic heroes manual where it gives a description of the characters in team dark it states that shadow never ages at all. So he's pretty much the same all the time.

Shadow is 50 years old because he's been alive for 50 years. His age, in terms of his youth, is 15, the same as Sonic. His physical age is how he was born as well, as he was only awake and alive for about 3 or so weeks before the whole incident. But he's definitely not a 50 year old infant. I can't tell you where I got that information. It's very obscure. Coulda been one of those written interview things I saw years ago, like mentioning Sonic's top speed has never been clocked. But idk.

Age is just a number for him…

My problem is that people will say shadows an old man for various reasons but then forget that he litterally wasn’t awake at all during his time in the pod He’s not mentally well r physically 50

It's like Avatar the last airbender The main character Aang was 12 years old when he got frozen for 100 years now you could say he is over 100 years old to us (the viewer and the other people in the show) but I believe he is still 12 years old its like time traveling though time when you go to the future you yourself is not 100 years old but you are just 100 years in the future I hope that makes sense

People really think shadow is around 40? He was literally frozen and preserved he's way younger. Probably still 4 years old

Shadow is Immortal.

I think that Shadow is 50 years old but due to his amount of time in cyrostatus, he got developementally delayed and acts like a teenager because of the cyrostatus not letting his brian knowledge grow and get as strong as anyone's knowledge would be when they reach the age of 50.

The way I see it, Shadow falls under the Aang situation. Yes, he's chronologically 50, but mentally he hasn't aged a day due to being in stasis. He also doesn't age in a physical sense.

Shadow is only about 2 years old because time in stasis doesn’t count.

I feel like this becomes the question of whether or not to count Shadow's age by the amount of years his physical body exists (Which would be minimum 50+) versus the years he was active (Unknown, possibly 15, we don't truly know how long Shadow was alive for before the freeze, then woke up in the modern day, he may even be younger than Cream if we gauge that)

I always just thought that maybe he’s mentally a mature teen that acts like an adult but he is physically over 50. That was what I believed at first but I looked into it further months ago and now I just think that it’s the opposite. He’s mentally 50 but not physically.

I'm going to tell you what I think before I watch this... Shadow is in memory only like a week old, maybe... (Shadow 05 flashbacks show shadows creation with Maria being around the same age she died) but has physically shadow has existed (slightly over) 50 years. and biologically he is around Sonic's age... so like 15-17

I was gonna say that because alien is a separate franchise entirely, the laws of cryo stasis in that movie might not apply here, but considering how much the sonic franchise takes from other properties for its own world, i'm just gonna slowly put my point into the trash bin

I think if Shadow was 50 he'd have no problems beating Sonic because of his experience but since he's 16-17 that would mean there's room for growth if that makes sense 😂

The one argument I make to say Shadow's at least 50+ is using the logic of the MCU in which Captain America is frozen for 70 years and retained his original appearance, but was still said to be 97 in later films and over 100 in the Captain America Movie, which if applied like that cause both instances require the occupant to be in a state of suspended animation and such, which would therefore mean Shadow could very well be 50 years of age and older.

I don't CARE how old he is, I like to think he just sounds 50 because it's just fucking cool, which is why Kirk Thornton when given good direction is my favorite! Middle-aged Shadow is FUN

I think shadow is 66 but with his body preserved he looks and feels 16, also your age is your bodys age but yeah, he is most certainly over 50 (in my opinion)

nah, the correct answer is hes around 3-5 years old in sa2 XD from the point he is made to when hes put in stasis, i wanna guess around 5 years, maybe less

Shadow has not aged.....& he WON'T age. It's all a part of his immortality. If he was 15 when GUN raided the ARK, he'd have been older than Maria when she died, but the G.U.N. Commander's flashback shows that she was already over 10 by the time Shadow breathed his 1st breath. Even without that, in the Archie Comics alternate 25 years later story, he says to Sonic (as he hilariously beats him down before his cape even hits the floor), "You are old past your prime. I am the Ultimate Lifeform. I never age. You were barely a challenge 25 years ago. Today you are NOTHING." This man will never see a single damn wrinkle on his face, no matter the age.

Shadow's design is based on a 15 year old hedgehog as depicted in the Hyper Sonic mural on Angel Island. It has been stated that Shadow is the type of immortal that doesn't age. But using some maths, Shadow has only been truly alive for 3 years, though none of his characteristics match that age

Immortality and Eternal Youth is messy but you're basically both young and old but mainly old.

I'd say by now Shadow is technically 2. The stasis is no different than being in an egg and he was just hatched 50 yrs later. Another vid analyzed this game and concluded that Shadow never met Maria and all of his memories were implanted instead. Assuming that is all true and given the fact that his form is unstable without his inhibitors which can mean he wasn't finished so Shadow is technically pre-mature and since that whole raid happened Shadow has just been left incomplete. So if anything I'd say he is a pre-mature 2 yr old but like Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot he was designed to be a teenager.

Imo Shadow is physically and mentally 15 or 16 but he is actually 50. Plus he's immortal so he can't age anyway

wait but before shadow was in stasis if we’re being generous shadow had about five years of existence witch means shadow only has about six years worth of knowledge when being released from Eggman which means he’s actually 50 years old. He’s physically 15years old and his brain is like six years old.😭
