Nice video. We just sailed the Edge June 21-28 in Alaska. We can’t wait to take another Edge-class cruise. Best experience at sea using a main stream cruise line.
Hi Jennifer, Yes it was my first time on Royal Princess. Travel insurance was highly recommended from all the T&Cs I read. I paid $71.84 for myself and my partner with InsureandGo Australia. At the checkin, the staff usually just have a quick glimpse and let us through. These were the ports: Sydney Mystery Island Suva Dravuni Island Lautoka Noumea
I was on this ship May 2024 for Alaskan cruise. There was no pizza or actual cakes at the buffet like this video shows, just tiny shot glasses with morsels of cake. And there was 1 ice cream machine near the pool for 4500 people on the ship, the line for it was an hour long. The steaks in main dining were 1/4" thick. I had beef tenderloin one night, it was the size of a playing card and so thin I could see light through it. The breakfast buffet was good and had nice variety but the lunch buffet was disappointing. It was the first cruise I've taken where I think I actually lost weight.
Actually I prefer it without narration. Every other RU-vid cruise channel does narration. Instead, this channel is original and stands out because it has no narration. We’ll done mate!
Yes totally worth it coz you paid the driver $150 for each car! You wouldn’t mind paying $150 for a short ride if that was Australia or New Zealand. That’s $150 divided by 5 hours. $30 an hour for a private tour. That’s CHEAP!!! And for $5 at the Nadi temple. You missed out on amazing wall artwork. It’s the biggest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere
Great video and a great deal for you too! I wish I could tolerate inside cabins. Having a balcony for me adds so much to my cruise that the savings attributed to inside cabins just don't resonate with me. Maybe for a 3 or 4-night cruise, but not for a 12-day cruise. Interesting how the Rooftop Garden plants stay covered for Australia/NZ cruises. I imagine that would take away from the otherwise lush and green appearance of the area. Too bad.
Thank you very much for your video. Can you record similar walking videos these suburbs 👉: Carlton,Mortdale, Hurstville,Allawah, Chippendale, Chatswood,Burwood, Turramura,Campsie, Enfield,Botany Bay,Bondi Junction,Caringbah, Cronulla,Bondi,Watson Bay,Riverwood,Parramatta, Canada Bay,Greenhill Beach,Barangaroo, Wentworthville and Woolloomoloo neighbourhood too ? I really appreciate this walking video of Berala
Great video! I smiled towards the end when La Petite Chef was featured. I had it booked already for July 2024, when we head to Alaska. But your video of it was the best I’ve seen. Oh and btw, loved how you used subtitles rather than your voice. Some people who do videos want to showcase their imaginary talents rather than just showcase the cruise. 10/10 for your video!!!
Thanks Michael! Much appreciated. 😃 Also, they have different menu options for La Petite (in case you want to try it in July). I think there was one with lobster, but that got booked out.
@@ninababy8 that's awesome! They should have different menus for La Petit. The one with seafood got booked out pretty quick, so it might be the best one.
We were in a Sky Suite in Jan of 2023.. On the Celebrity Edge. The Luminae was EXCELLENT. It even outdid Oceania (known as the best food at sea.. it’s not.. So far Celebrity is).. Loved the Edge experience.. nice ‘Walk’ thank you. Brought back a bunch of amazing memories, even made me look back at the Pictures 😊
If you're fit and healthy, it should be a nice relaxing walk to all the snorkeling spots. I didn't go to the other side of the island, but according to the map, there's fish. It might be less crowded too. Or you can try the far right once you get off the pier. That's where I went. On the left of the pier, there's no fish. Map says there's no fish there too.
I check the prices quite regularly. When I saw Celebrity Edge for that price, I knew it was cheap. I think it was a very brief sale. The inside cabins got booked out pretty quick too
All the fruits and vegetables are organically grown the black round shells you saw in the Suva market those are fresh water shells you put them in the pot with little water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes as soon as you see them open up you remove them from the pot and you squeeze a little lemon and bit of chillie pepper you remove them from the shells and stir fry them with butter and garlic they are very delicious Fijian people shouldn't be hungry they are so rich in so many things either on the land or sea they can find food anywhere ocean or river.
Hmm... I only live about 10-20 minutes drive from here. I've been there a dozen times before, but never realized it was the world's biggest! I might visit again tomorrow...
Our family also went on the ovation for 11 nights As i remember well Washy washy! BUMPER CARS, the robots we saw i also got a mini cruise toy so i can remember the entire trip!
@@dylancoleman124 Hi Dylan, That's the cascade waterfalls (or Melee cascades) in Port Vila. The rope is right at the end of the walk. You can swing and jump down, but just make sure you're a strong swimmer. Looking back, I don't think it's that safe to be honest! After jumping down, and swimming back to shore, there are some large rocks underneath. Just swim slowly and swim with the tide. The turtle place was called The Reef Vanuatu Zoological. Its on most of the brochures when we arrived at the port. It's like a small sanctuary. And the blue sunken hole, we just passed by so we could cool off. I think there are a few different ones around Port Vila You should be able to hit all 3 places in 3-4 hours. Then head back to the ship for a nice feast :-) Keep in mind, you have to pay entry fees at each place. I can't remember the exact cost, but you're looking at $10-$20/person
Thanks for this Weve never done a cruise before We were going too about 3 years ago but for obvious reasons (covid) we still.havent We were thinking of a balcony room and a trip later this year
I always travel with my partner so I guess it was $66/night for both of us. Ozcruising probably isn't the best site to use if you're traveling solo. Other sites may have more options, but traveling solo in 1 cabin will generally cost more. Prices will also depend on the season and availability of each cruise. Just need to keep an eye on it each week to see if the prices change or drop.
@@WalksForYou on the contrary. I'd always go to Oz cruising for Solo availability & lower prices - especially for P&O - in the past, but yes - November/December I did NZ last year on Princess. Because I'm "Elite"🤦🏻♀️ - I don't mind getting an inside room with them. All the little extras + the best TV @ sea.
I'll be sailing on her in October, just a short 4 nighter. We must remember it's a budget cruise line, so with a relatively lower fare there are fewer inclusions. Compare the price of a similar cruise on Princess, RCL, HAL, NCL, etc. I've tried the free pizza on Carnival, and i wouldn't feed them to my dog, they are horrible IMO. They make Dominos look gourmet. I'm going on board knowing it's a budget line and setting my expectations accordingly, plus cost cutting, especially on food, is industry wide, not just P&O Australia. Otherwise she looks like a lovely ship, and I'm sure I can readily gorge myself on free food...not that I eat much haha.
We are booked on this in October 2023. Travelled on this ship 3 times when it was the Golden Princess. Very disappointing that the Burgers and the Pizzas are now charged for (With Princess they were included). Also fancy ice-cream. Who needs it. Soft serve previously was fine and free (As it is on Carnival). The fares have increased but not so the inclusions (travelled with P & O in 2012,2013 and 2014 but looks like it's more about making as much money out of the traveler with providing a fun experience. I am hoping that the cruise is as enjoyable as my previous P & O cruises were.🤞
Yeh I avoided the food that had extra charge. There's already plenty of free food around the ship. Although I think the 10 day mark is my breaking point where I crave for variety
