I was on this ship May 2024 for Alaskan cruise. There was no pizza or actual cakes at the buffet like this video shows, just tiny shot glasses with morsels of cake. And there was 1 ice cream machine near the pool for 4500 people on the ship, the line for it was an hour long. The steaks in main dining were 1/4" thick. I had beef tenderloin one night, it was the size of a playing card and so thin I could see light through it. The breakfast buffet was good and had nice variety but the lunch buffet was disappointing. It was the first cruise I've taken where I think I actually lost weight.
Our family also went on the ovation for 11 nights As i remember well Washy washy! BUMPER CARS, the robots we saw i also got a mini cruise toy so i can remember the entire trip!
Fantastic job it’s one of the best I’ve seen 👍🏻we have been on it in 2019 just before Covid shut down have booked again for February next year my favourite ship 🚢 thanks again
Went on ovation a couple of weekends ago for 2 nights, will be back on it for an 8 night to pacific islands in a weeks time. Still get a buzz watching others vids though…thanks for sharing! I especially agree with your thoughts on having a Kmart and target on board haha love it! Would never shop in those expensive ones they have.
It'll be the most popular shop on board! haha. Im heading to Pacific Islands next month on Pacific Adventure so I'll do a video on that. Enjoy your next trip!
I went on the Ovation of the Seas a few years ago from Sydney. My family went to the Wonderland restaurant and it was an experience that I enjoyed. I enjoyed the cruise, but felt the ship was too big. We also did the bumper cars, but it was hard to fit in as it’s not scheduled regularly, so checking the day’s activity sheet was essential.
We were on that cruise worst embarkation I've ever had lot of complaints at the Captains Corner forum in 2 70 during the cruise. We are going on her next month for short Tasmania cruise hope they have their act together.
I loved Ovation. Went on her in November 22 . So stable and so huge . wished we'd had another wk so I could have seen even more. Oh well, guess I;ll have to go on her again.. I loved the pod. so cool hanging off the side of the ship while moving. thx for the vid, This yr im going on Brilliance of the seas. First time on that too.
There’s actually a surprisingly affordable 18 night cruise ($4100 USD for Accessible Balcony) each April (we’re booked next year) that goes to Auckland/Tauranga…then after 5 sea days you get three stops in French Polynesia including Tahiti and then after another 5 sea days you finish in Honolulu, Hawaii…we’re hoping we don’t go too stir crazy after 2 1/2 weeks
Even for domestic, I would still bring Passport, driver's license, insurance doc, and boarding documents (hard copies). I'd have copies on my mobile as well. Should be an FAQ page with your cruise, but best to be prepared with all docs rather than forget something at home. Remember to print out your luggage tags too.
