Great video. I live in Virginia Zone 8a or 8b, I think. My Salvias are dying back as if the Fall season has started already. The purple stems are brown and leaning over. Should I cut them back now?
I tried using my normal seed spreader to spread the seed and binder mixture as well, but it was a nightmare and clogged from all of the moisture. Do you have any tips on how to spread it without it clogging?
I ended up not putting any on my lawn, but I did put some on my trees and bushes and they did OK. I might test this out this fall and see if it does damage an area of the lawn
Tú pu should soak them in the original container before you take them out. That’s what’s recommended but maybe it doesn’t make a big difference. I have 8 arborvitae’s like yours and 7 of another variety and they are all doing well. Keep an eye out for mites and bag worms.
BB gun 😂 jk. You can rent a compost/pete moss spreader from Home Depot or tool rental company for about $30. Cover the seed with a light coating of compost or Pete moss. Should keep them away from the seed
It would be interesting to know how much water comes out, like timing how long it takes to fill up a 5 gallon bucket. I’m assuming the volume of water coming out is lower since the diameter of the hose is more narrow?
thanks for the video brother.... little everyday tasks that go unnoticed until it's time to do them are made simpler by videos like these and deserve more appreciation for taking the time to teach. Appreciate it ❤
Thanks for this video, very helpful. However the music seem to drown you out, competing with the volume of your voice, in case you were not aware how we hear it. It should be way in the back ground,
Thanks for the video. I just cant quite see how you tied the rope to the post. Is the post just a straight metal “stick” or is there a hook or something to it? Lol thanks
@HomegrownHowTo I was thinking KBG for sure, well done. I'm in Kentucky, and I have TTTF in the transition zone. I'm trying to gameplan what material I'm going to use for this process.
