Any stinger anti-aircraft manpad can take it down. This video is propaganda for a weak military that has nothing but feminist agenda and putting women in positions they can't handle just like the incompetent and inept Secret Service.
Thrust vectoring? Cr💩pmerican fighters? Are you on dope? There's only one "fighter" that uses thrust vectoring in the turdnited states and that's the craptor, or the hobby balloon popper. And its only one dimensional thrust vectoring. If you wanna see true thrust vectoring, only Russia does that correctly. Second, the primary focus of crapmerican fighters is on bombing civillians, not on advanced technologies.
It’s tricky to reduce the drag at cruise speed and keep it good in all other aspects. 👨🏻🔧👨🏻🏭👨🏻🏫🫤 That was the Su-47 problem: you can’t just point that canard at zero degree and fly stable like a F-16 while being capable to engage in battle only by turning on the afterburner. 🤷🏻♂️ Personally I would like to have a trainer for the fighter but the fighter itself would be conventional. 🫠
If you ask an American if the F-117 is invincible even though it got shot down by a 70 year old missile on first try, he will say yes, it is invincible 😂.
Who needs slow speed maneuverability when you have a 40 mile radar and a 25mile missile, and you have it in the 70’s? Unless your the USN, then just increases the range numbers on both the radar and the missile.
Mirage 2000 doesn't stand a chance against a competent F-16 flight armed for BVR. The only thing that can save an M2K is incompetence or C2 failures like weapon usage restrictions in a BVR engagement.
I don't think comparison with the F-16 is an apples to apples comparison. The F-16 was designed as an economical replacement for the USAF and our Allies gen 3 fighters. The fighter mafia wanted a dogfighter 1st and light attack aircraft because she would have been canceled if it couldn't do anything except dogfight. The 16 couldn't carry BVR missile until the "C" model and updates of the alfa in the 90's. The Mig 29 was designed to achieve airdominance over the frontline. Flying from unprepared runways, serviced by mostly conscripts. It had to be easy enough for pilots to fly that they didn't need to have a degree in engineering. The Mig 29's biggest flaw is small fuel tanks. But how often do you see a F-16 without at least 2 bags, often 3 and it's starting to become common to see conforming fuel tanks. Mig 29s of all versions have a hell of a record. My opinion is simply that the Mig-35 should always be taken seriously. It's biggest flaw is that their largest foe is being given away for practically free.
Cool jet! All 14 or 15 of them. Still using 4th gen engines. Not saying we shouldn’t take it seriously, but I’m over it and really not as impressed now that I know the facts. It has garnered quite a perception here on the Facetube, lately and I don’t get it.
The atl-atl is a far more proven weapons technology. Why not send guys in with those? Very dependable system, completely EMP resistant, and can't be found with a metal detector. See how easy it is to misrepresent the benefits of a weapon system? Everything I said about the atl-atl is factual but none of that would matter if someone were hunting you with thermals on a rifle and all you had was the predecessor to the bow and arrow. Doesn't matter how reliable the stick is, it loses to the newer weapon. Because the newer weapon was designed and built to make everything before it obsolete. Jesus christ get over planes that suck now. It used to be good. Now it's fit only for training and support. Even russian trash can target lock them, that's not good enough for modern warfare. If 40 year old radar can detect your 50 year old plane then it's kinda not up to par. That's not a high bar to clear and the f15 just can't. The radar ablative paint isn't a magic cloak, it slightly reduces an obscene radar cross-section. It's still detectable over the horizon. And it doesn't matter how fast your plane turns what matters is how fast your missiles are. That ancient bus can't outrun any missile or out turn them. And it can't hide from them without 15 other support aircraft. Cheaper my ass, you need a fleet to make that plane into anything but a coffin. You can get all that combat utility in one f35 for a fraction of the total purchase and maintenance costs. Feel free to run the numbers. I'll wait. I'm sure you're a numbers guy. Numbers matter, stats and specs matter, best specs always wins, fastest plane is best plane. But dollar per kill in wars fought today? 22s and 35s or you're wasting your money and your pilots lives. RU-vid doesn't need anymore low effort military porn. Especially not obvious and lazy lies. Ask a pilot. Not some old idiot hasnt flown since the 80s, active duty pilot.
The airforce conducted a trial where a F15 and F14 would try to intercept the blackbird flying at its normal operational speed, and altitude. With ecw on and another with it off. The SR72 flying against the two best fighter mounted radar and fire control systems. Nether fighters were even capable of spotting her on their radar. They held a 2nd test with the same aircraft, but the SR72 turned off it's defensive counter measures. The F15 radar still couldn't pick up a target track. The awg 9 in F14 was just able to get a momentary blip of the target but even with what was probably the best fire control system in the world, it couldn't get a weapons lock. In fact if these very experienced crews would not have been briefed beforehand they wouldn't have known the blackbird was there flying its normal operational flight conditions.
Viggen is overrated, and barely being able to catch up to a twin engine aircraft flying on 1 engine with it's ecw down is a honorable mention award at best.
