You certainly made clear it's a tough job, but one we can see it's worth undertaking. Where else in the world would a young soldier like to be if not in the US Navy.
Service aboard an aircraft carrier is challenging. I think it is equally challenging to serve aboard a submarine. But, thankfully, there are many activities for crew members to stave off boredom and loneliness. Food is very important. Navy food is probably the best. It tastes like home. When I was in the NJROTC in my high school, I had the chance to go on a cruise aboard the aircraft carrier Forrestal. But I couldn’t because I had back surgery and I was still in a cast(I was still able to walk, but slowly). So, request denied. I did hear stories about the cruise from my fellow cadets and I was envious.
