Yes I agree he’s very ‘English-looking’. A very ‘English’ face, a bit like Hugh Fraser, who plays Hastings in Agatha Christie’s Poirot (with David Suchet)
Your guitarist looks a bit like Jac y Jwc from the Welsh language kids tv show! Hee hee! Nice playing, lads. I keep needing to learn this tune and then forgetting it....
Sadly you miss the point. They're setting up a context for the music and taking their time. In this age of instant gratification, people can get impatient really quickly. Chill a bit brother.
A very creative video, and so expressively played. It's not originally an Irish folksong, however. It seems to have been by the London ballet master Fishar (with an "a"), who danced at Covent Garden in the 1760s. Eventually it became popular everywhere in Great Britain, including Ireland, but also in Scotland, as well as the colonies: Canada &the future United States.
Its older than that. Go back to the days when the instrument called a hornpipe was commonly played. Oh say 500 years. that tune comes out of the mists of time.
@@yaddahaysmarmalite4059yeah the problem with that is the horn pipe became a style of dance tune in a certain meter, just like how a clog became a style of dance regardless of the wood content of your shoes
Midsomer Murders theme song sounds exactly like one of The X Files themes... I like it. I REALLY love the show, but I love it more with Baranaby and Troy! :) Thanks for this video, cool beans. :) They made a great team and good chemistry... even with Troy's prejudice charm.
