A very creative video, and so expressively played. It's not originally an Irish folksong, however. It seems to have been by the London ballet master Fishar (with an "a"), who danced at Covent Garden in the 1760s. Eventually it became popular everywhere in Great Britain, including Ireland, but also in Scotland, as well as the colonies: Canada &the future United States.
Its older than that. Go back to the days when the instrument called a hornpipe was commonly played. Oh say 500 years. that tune comes out of the mists of time.
@@yaddahaysmarmalite4059yeah the problem with that is the horn pipe became a style of dance tune in a certain meter, just like how a clog became a style of dance regardless of the wood content of your shoes
