I brought the NKJV Single Column in the Goatskin Brown and I swear amazon sold me a fake, it looks the same inside and the paper is correct but the cover seems like a dud (a fake). Its not supple or thick like everyone else's. It's thin, flat, stiff & shiney like pigskin. The cover feels plasticy. Theres little to no grain and the paint is shiney and rubbery. Even the paint on the cover is coming off as soon as I opened the box and it smells like chemicals and not leather. Even the pain is the wrong colour brown. I gently rub my finger nail on paint and it cracks and comes off so easily i can literally see the leather underneath. At this point I'm questioning if its even reaal leather. Also the price on the box says $209.99 when the price on everyone elses says $189.99. I have a NKJV end of verse premium Goatskin brown by Thomas Nelson and it is nothing like this trash cover I've recieved on the single column one. Do you thi k i got sold a fake?
I have this Study Bible in both physical (Burgundy Genuine Leather) and digital formats (through Life Bible) on my iPhone, iPad and website. This thing is a beast in physical form, it’s about as thick as the NLT Illustrated Study Bible. Here’s a tip for you when reviewing those thick and heavy Study Bibles, if your Mac supports it, macOS Sonoma introduced a feature called Desk View, it allows you to use your iPhone’s wide camera as an overhead camera
This bible is absolutely beautiful! So packed with information and the images and visual presentation is 10/10! It has such a vintage historical vibe that my nerd side loves haha. This is a Bible you grab a coffee and cozy up with for sure. Adding this to my wish list!
Blessings sister!!! Question! The tuscany schuyler leather has it soften up more since day 1? I know its not too floppy but i understand it supposed to soften a bit
@@WalkingintheLightReviews mmm ok. Ive been eyeballing the tuscany full yapp PSQ in the hopes it will be softer with time. I dont like the hard thick cover but i love that color. Thank you for your response.
So great to see that you are interested in the book of Revelation. It is a very good idea to choose books like this one by Guthrie to help you develop a better understanding of the message the last book of our bibles has for us. Guthrie is a very well respected and careful author who has written a number of books to help us understand our bibles better. This is a very useful and practical video you made and I was glad to see it.
@@WalkingintheLightReviews thank you! I have had so many questions on your posts lately as I decide so I appreciate your answer. I already have a study Bible so the more simplified look of the Lifeway appealed to me.
Thank you SOOO much for admitting that you are behind in Heart Dive. I am 3 weeks behind and feel incredibly guilty. I feel like it's a chore and I don't want it to feel that way.
I just decided to go at my own pace. Sometimes I only do one video, sometimes 2 or 3 if I'm not busy, and sometimes none. Taking the pressure off to not be "behind" has really helped me to enjoy it more!
You are keeping busy. Not sure I could keep up with those HeartDive videos either….many are just too long. Are you liking Faith a Life’s reading plan? I heard you say those videos are 5 minutes or…much more manageable. I am still in Charles Stanley bible. I have finished the OT with daily Grace co. chronological reading plan and videos. Did a chapter by chapter study on James and then John. Now back to Daily Grace plan to continue the NT reading plan. Once I get to Galatians I am breaking to do Faith’s study. Like you once I do that I will decide if I want to buy her other studies. How did you like the Theology Study? I know you are biblically strong, was the content engaging and informative?
I do like Faith's reading plan! I like how it jumps between Old Testament and New Testament to keep things more interesting, and her videos connect it all together well.
I ended up sharing these Bibles with others who would use them more than I did. Nothing wrong with them, they are both great Bibles! I just have others that I use more, and I don't like my Bibles to sit on the shelf too long!
@flowerlass 0 seconds ago It has a catchy name, but there aren't a lot of extras, and the paper is thin. Quite a few of my pages were stuck together and difficult to separate. The Going Deeper section is not that deep. I like the CSB translation; the single column makes it easier to read as a reading Bible. The font is 8.5, but it seems smaller than that. I gave mine away to someone who wished for one, so all is good. It wasn't the right Bible for me.
I have the same color in the Courage for Life Bible and also have the powder blue Every Woman’s Bible. The gold is beautiful. Is the design on the front cover of the gold an actual design or a defect? Just curious because it’s very subtle to be a design. Either way, I’m going to include it in my Bible collection. 📖😊

I was a special education teacher for several years. It is a difficult job because of all the paperwork, classes that are larger than they should be, paraprofessionals often not trained in special education, and classes that are too diverse in age and challenges. I remember taking my class to a Fall Festival at our church. They all wanted to see the sanctuary because none had ever been in a church. I had children whose parents had a lot of issues, too. It was very sad.
Thanks so much for your review! I had never heard of this Bible and couldn’t find much about it outside of your excellent video. But you helped me decide to try it out; my copy arrived today. :) I was an editor for many years and would often suggest breaking up large blocks of text into lists and charts to help with engagement and readability, exactly as this Bible does. I’m very excited to read through it, especially some of the “drier” parts of the Old Testament. Like you, I’m just hoping the translation is legit, haha. Their discussion of literal vs. dynamic gives me hope though.
🎉👏👏👏👏 You're an angel for recommending this. I just bet that most Christians don't even think about people with any type of disabilities; not even the book publishers! Its shameful.
Thanks for sharing. I have the Kindle version of the NIV Grace and Truth Study Bible. In addition, I have a printed copy of the NASB Grace and Truth Study Bible. It's a wonderful resource for bible study.
