Love the NASB 95 Psalms. Psalm 136: "His lovingkindness is everlasting." They changed this in the NASB 20 and I don't know of any other translation that translates it that way. 💙
I know Allan Bibles are among the best at the premium level. I have never seen one in person, but it seems to me, from what I've seen in video reviews like yours, that they are not as special and beautiful as other premium Bibles, like the ones made by Schuyler (or even Cambridge). I mean, the first time I saw a Schuyler in a video review, I recognized its outstanding beauty, so I purchased one and was greatly pleased with it (an RSV with Apocrypha). Allan however has never caught my attention. You who do have both to compare, what is your impression? Which one do you prefer?
They are definitely different. I like both, but I like some of the Schuyler lay outs better, like the Quentel and Stridon, because I'm not a huge fan of the center column references. But both are high quality, well made Bibles. I never had a Cambridge, so I can't speak on that.
I've never seen an Allen in person. They look nice, but I haven't seen many with the layout I like. (Did you plan to wear a blue shirt for your video?)
As usual for Bibles, the print is too small and $250 is too high a price. I don't know how people can afford these Bibles! With inflation and wages going down it's just beyond me how anyone can afford this. I know as a reviewer they probably give you or give you a Bible for this but for people who have to buy a Bible at that price tag, I don't see it happening!
