My goal is to provide helpful advice on Emergency Preparedness and Self Sufficience, as well as honest reviews of the gear and tools that will help you. Over the years, I've had some great adventures in the great outdoors, and in various parts of the world. Life has definitely taught me to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I'm always learning and I hope to help as many people as I can to live more prepared, more aware, more self sufficient...and hopefully enjoy God's creations as much as I have. Thanks for watching!
Why these scar blades was a branch off from tops. Too bad they closed up shop. I love the designs. They should have distinguished themselves by adding more treading options and generally make lot of money.
I still own this unit and use it occasionally when we have power outtages in Houston, TX. At least until I turn on the generator, haha. Sad to see the company go under, but one of the more successful Kick starter campaigns I was involved in and I actually received the product!
Paid too much but I don’t regret it at all. Had it for 10 years and it is essential for my needs. Indestructible and takes and holds an edge. A work horse. Far from my only knife but it is a good to 9 times out of 10 for what it does… does very well.
I haven’t tried the Sven. Fell in love with a silky. I’ve tried and love the x15. It makes ax work faster and easier than any other I’ve tried. That center of lance is right where I want it.
No one can deny the toughness of a Becker knife, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense that we have to give such an expensive price for a knife and then change it sheath. It’s handles, and in some cases even recoat the blade.
I love it just the way it is. Mine is un modded essentially and I would not change the sheath for any reason other than failure. 10 years and like the day I got it.
Awesome review and comparison! & that’s being said after having watched a ton of Shiftpod videos on RU-vid. Thanks for setting up both tents to get temperature data, and giving a better visual of the usable space inside!
been shooting for a while and never once thought a belt with the bells and whistles semed silly to me. now whos the silly rabbit? me lol! This was a very informative review and i think im biting the bullet on the gcode scorpion as well looks like best option with the holster ive been looking at as well! win win
Prepped Im sure these are decent but personally would go with Kore Essential ratcheting belts they are better made (if you watch some comparison vids) and offer ton more options.
I just bought a Lifetime 55 yesterday and it weighs a ton. Do Yeti, Rtic and others weigh as much? I need to be able to move this thing once i fill it with ice and drinks and I am afraid once i fill it that will be a back breaking effort. No wheels on the 55.
I think the test was great. My only comment is that it wasn't all that fair for Yeti. Same amount of ice give to all coolers but the Yeti was bigger which means it had more open space. It should have been a ratio of ice:size
Idea for better results. I would be interested to see a test outside and even in sun for a true test. Most people aren’t conserved with their beverage heating up in a climate controlled environment. Could the results possibly differ in a warmer ambient temp?? Oh how I wonder.
