How many times can you charge your Mavic Batteries with this? I really need to be able to charge my drone batteries whilst away from home. I’m looking at the Sherpa 100pd, would that suffice? I need to be able to charge my iPad & MacBook. The drone batteries would be a really ideal addition of that was possible. What is the pros and cons to the 100AC to the 100PD Sherpas? Considering the huge price difference, the 100 PD interests me. Perhaps I should get that? & would that Anker one suffice for the iPad and MacBook? & what’s the best price portable solar panel you’d recommend? Cheers buddy! Take it easy!
can you tell if it is possible to double charge your newer sherpa 100 ac using two cables maybe from two 60 watt bricks or similar into the two usb c ports? it would be faster if that was possible. with the anker powercore that works.
Cool video, and cool channel. Subscribed. Question for you...my Sherpa 100AC is reluctant to charge Apple devices using any lightning cable except the short one the Sherpa came with. I've tried OEM and aftermarket USB-A to lightning...no dice. Does yours behave like this, or could there be something wrong with my unit?
I need QC output or cigar outlet for nitecore product. Because older version has cigar outlet, I can use usb-c pd/QC3.0 like that. Although cigar outlet is traditional, It will last longer than usb-pd and QC3.0.

Can I plug in a bigger solar panel, say 80W or 100W or 120W, into my Sherpa 100AC or will that harm the unit? Please note: I know that input is limited to 50W. But I want to buy a bigger solar panel so it is suitable for bigger devices like a Yeti Lithium1000x too. I just don't want to harm my Sherpa 100AC.
Great video! However, I see you're using the Sherpa AC 100 to charge your Mavic batteries in the video. I bought a Sherpa 100 AC for that specific reason to use on my motorcycle trips and the Sherpa does not charge my Mavic 2 batteries. I plug it in and nothing happens. I called Goal Zero today and they said it will not work to charge the Mavic batteries because the Sherpa has a Modified Sine Wave Inverter. They said the Mavic batteries require a Pure Sine Wave Inverter, which the Yeti 400 and up has. I can actually see in your video that the Mavic batteries are plugged into the Sherpa and it is actually charging the battery. How is it that YOUR Sherpa is charging the Mavic batteries? I'm far from an expert on this kind of stuff, so go easy on me for an explanation!!! Again...your video is excellent and done very well. Appreciate any info to help out. Thanks.

with the Air Mini, I can get about 1 night on the Sherpa 100, even if I'm using the 110AC port but you'd have to charge it all the way up again during the day.
Do you perhaps know if there is an adapter out there to connect a 12 V car plug via the new USB-C port? I mean like the old plug that could be connected to the old Sherpa 100...
@@38201270298 I have the Mavic Mini since March but one week ago was my first takeoff. ;-) I am waiting for the Mavic Pro 3 and hope it comes with USB-C or at least there is additional equipment to charge via USB-C.
With a special cord, a 60watt usb-pd ( power delivery ) port can go up to 100 watts. Give goal zero a call, they can confirm it. And/google it. Good luck.
2.5 hour charge time via USB C? LOL not even. I just bought one and hooked it up to a USB-C Fast Charger from Samsung. It charges at 4 watts, not 60. At this speed, the unit takes 20 hours to recharge. It would also be nice if ANY review indicated that this unit DOES NOT COME WITH AN AC POWER SUPPLY.
Well, uh... That's your fault for trying to charge a huge power bank with a cell phone charger. USB-C is a standard for connections. It doesn't specify any one particular power brick standard. If you want to charge at max speed w/ USB-C, you'll need a charger meant for a modern performance laptop (e.g., Razer Blade, MacBook Pro) or something that puts out equivalent power.
Agreed. Do a search on RU-vid for the differences in the various Versions of USB -C . You should be able to find a guy who goes into what I think are the five different types. Quite a big difference among the various versions. Also I read that if you use the correct cable you can have a 60 W USB-C pd ( like on the 100ac ) charge at up to 100 W instead of 60. If you call Goal Zero I will be happy to let you know if it works on this unit that way as well.
still overpriced aF!!! I'll wait for the new version with 12v. GZ has announced on their site something good is coming! Will have to wait to see what that is. Hopefully, it will be the replacement for this overpriced feature lacking brick!
RESIST not impressed with their new offering. Have a Bluetti ac200 on the way with some solar panels. A lot better than the goalzero gear. I’ll wait to see if hx updates this unit. I like it for getting on the plane
