Just put in 1967 Camaro 496 Big Block and there you are... Is this ole boy still running it? I am building one now... new body 67 and I've found a 496 so I've gotta find some door guts...one son gave me beautiful front seats and another son gave me a new carpet...I've got another son who switches wheels with his Camaros to see which I like best. What do you do when you retire? No problem ... build Chevelles and Camaros... and have fun!
2800 lbs up front? Yeah right. Know how much you can hang in 100-lb suitcase weights on a standard JD "large frame" row-crop tractor front weight bracket. 2000 lbs. I've seen guys "hang" an extra pair on them. That's a stack of solid cast iron about 36 inches wide, 18 inches tall and 14 inches wide. You don't have anywhere near that much cast "stacked" in that weight "box" and if you ran that POS at real NTPA pulls in "pro stock" you wouldn't even get it through "tech". The wiring alone is an accident waiting to happen. And nice "kill switch" location. Real safe for the hook man. Who would have to be an idiot to hook that POS and put himself out of your "FOV" and vice versa. It also needs a 1250 Dominator with those "big-block" heads with the SMALL-BLOCK CHAMBERS LIKE A "HI-PO" 289 NEEDS A "715", LOL.
That kit looks good ! What make/brand is the kit ? Im going to start on my 45 soon and will be doing the same going with a mustang II front kit and keep the old frame instead of doing an s10 swap . Probably use a updated rear leaf kit or 4 link for rear end and a all aluminum 5.3 . Keep the videos coming nice work !
