I don't know anything about paint...don't even know which hand I paint with, both? That's a thing right? Like not at the same time....I'm left handed but if I were to do say, pinstriping, it's right hand all the way. Need a pretty good free hand circle, right hand. Something not normal about my brain but yeah, Idk about paints. I also don't know how you painted this, I saw you do it, but I only partially "grasp" what you did...but the end result is magnificent. I would know Rambo Gizmo, anywhere, and you definitely nailed him!
Ha Ha Ha I don't know if you have kids Alpe but that is the bane of my exitance as a father trying to put Lego and models together with my 10 and now 6 year old. There's always one piece and it's always the most important piece that flies off never to be seen again..... Well until it gets sucked up by the vacuum.
I happen to love this piece and yes it was one of my favorite scenes in The princess Bride what an awesome movie." I don't think it means what he thinks it it means." I've been blessed to live off my artwork for the past 30 years it's paid the bills but never made me Rich but I can honestly say I feel like I haven't worked in 30 years cuz I absolutely love what I do. But I'm always trying to make something look like something. I've recently started playing with acrylic pores I enjoy it so much just watching how the paint intermixes with itself and creates an image that I'm not really in control of more than color combinations. But it's such a fun way to create and I feel so playful with it. Thank you for sharing your experiences yes it's important to take time for yourself and create for you.
I had no idea those animations were done by hand until now! I thought they were digital art, that is amazing that they could hand paint it and have it be so consistent
Please. Please. Please!!! No more back ground music! Humbly, i entreat you! That cursed music is interfering with your beautiful wisdom!! I don't need the music or want the music -- respecfully and humbly: i Only want you and words and not the MINDLESS sound track! I need you, not the crappy music! I always get what I search for. I found your channel. 😊 If you just put art in you would probably get that junk. But most people search for art they want.
I’m a 12 years old artist I’ve been training for years but still my paintings look awful so I watched your videos and I have learned new things thank you for the tips Mr
So I am here because of miniature painting. Sometimes you want slower drying and sometimes you want the paints to be very dry. THere a technique called dry brushing.
You've used them in a completely different way than the technique used in ghibli artwork, they work a lot with gradients and wet on wet. This is why i dont really fid it that good demonstration of their worth lol. They seem to work very well with gradients like you've shown, basically dispersing more gradually than your average goache. So i guess we'll have to try it for ourselves )
Wish you could pop in at mine !! a few times or have classes !! if you lived here lol !! I have sold paintings but I love the way you work all those colours in this painting !! The flow and ease you work is amazing !! plus you're so easy to listen to as well. Thanks matey best from Adelaide South Australia 😊
not using references is like trying to learn every skill by yourself without a teacher, and nature (which includes people) is a great teacher, she had millions of years to learn and discover, ignoring that and trying to use just your imagination is simply ignorant and arrogant
I do 3D modeling and I want to paint I never learned how to paint and I think I just gonna follow your recommendation I can test so much of my own stuff instead
Oga is an amazing artist and Gouache is not easy to use at all especially Japanese brands. I would check the work of Harry Anderson and his book as he is a Master at Gouache. Some of his tips are thin applied paint, sometimes acrylic as a base for sky and areas so he doesn't pull up colors and layer layer layer. Background to forward foreground and work thin and slow. Your Gizmo is pretty good.
He is really good! Must be a portrait or pastel artist because this is the technique you use for quick portrait artists where you have to make a nice picture fast without all the layers .
When You spend a large portion of your life painting a commission for someone and it gets completed, and they take it home...it feels like they just left with a piece of you. Kind of like giving away one of your children
I am also starting out and it is not easy. I focus right now on charcoal drawings because 1. I love using this medium and 2. They don't take as long to create, so I can post more which is really important in the beginning of growing a social media presence. I really want to get into painting more also, I love colors.
