You made this video 3 years ago, but I just found you and subscribed, I’m sooo glad you did these comparisons! I’ve been a YL girl for years, but I’m starting to want to try plant therapy just because the price is so much better.
I grew up on YL and been using it over 20yrs and Thieves is a staple in our cabinet, but now that I am starting to buy my own I am trying out other brands. I like Mountain Rose Herbs, my MIL uses Revive & I am considering Plant Therapy. I found a couple of Reddits that share the recipes for Thieves & Germ Fighter so I am going to try out the GF blend DIY to see if I want to buy that or make Thieves DIY. I am very interested in Germ Destroyer too since I recently learned why the standard 4 Thieves spices may not be the safest to use on children under 10. I have been having trouble finding review & comparisons though.
Thankful for your honesty. Plant Therapy has been my go to for EOs since shortly after their company introduction. I can always trust them for truthful and safe usage education. 🤗
I used to love DoTerra, but can’t justify their prices when Eden’s Garden are just as good, in my opinion. They have recently come out with another blend called, “This Smells Amazing”, which really does smell amazing. I have the roll-on that I like to wear as a perfume.
Hi! I know this video is old, but I wanted to comment. Plant Therapy has some water diffusers for cars. I personally have a mobile rechargeable car diffuser thats a nebulizing diffuser. It’s from “Organic Aromas” and it’s called the mobile mini. I have a couple. You mentioned little scent…this nebulizing car diffuser uses straight oils. I use one on my cart at work…I am a school janitor and after everyone leaves, I diffuse citruses as I clean. Organic Aromas has lots of other nebulizing diffusers too. Check out their site! Any essential oil lover MUST BUY their “signature blend” oil blend! Anyway, nebulizing diffusers work for me. Water diffusers dont, however i do love to diffuse hydrosols in my water diffuser! Sorry for the long blab. I could go on and on about oils. BTW, I am about 80% done with Aromatherapist Certification Program through Aromahead Institute so theres another site to check out, and their sister site, aromatics.com. Have a smelly day! :)
Thanks Erika for this comparison video. I make my own roller with Self-Esteem and a few drops of Rose Geranium. I prefer it this way since geranium is a little overpowering for my taste.
Revive Joy is my go to lately. I can see myself repurchasing very soon. I’m definitely going to be checking out jade bloom too. Thank you for letting me know about this brand. ♥️
I also love EG!! Joy is one of my favorite blends as well as the Good Night blend!! I really want to try Stress Relief but I really don't like patchouli. However I really like it in some blends. Can you tell me if it'd a heavy scent of patchouli or a good blend with citrus. Thanks for your help! As always love your videos! ~Michelle
😱 why didn't I see this video before, I will totally get the little cute diffuser. Btw, I love lemon grass essential oils. I put it in my laundry detergent, Dishwashing soap, my cleaners, I diffuse it every morning, I even put a drop on my mask 😷 it's everywhere. I really enjoyed you opening the little cute diffuser 😂
ahaha I have met so many people who LOVE lemmongrass and to this day I still cannot handle it lol The little diffuser is incredible it gets a lot of use.
Hey! Long time no see!! Hope your doing good! Sooooo I was wondering do you know what Happened to Libby??? I noticed months ago all of her videos were gone, I went to her Instagram and noticed she changed her name on that also to Frankincense something other. I messaged her a few times no reply. I know you all were pretty close so I was hoping you know what happened and if she is ok!! I know she has been going thru a lot and I was afraid maybe she got really depressed and said F it all and deleted everything. Or something worse. I just hope she is OK. I sorta got burned out on EO's. I lived and breathes EO's lol. I ran out of things to research as I have literally seen pretty much every EO video on RU-vid lol. I still use and love them lots though. The good thing is-wow how much money I have saved not buying every EO out there! Lol I realized I don't need all of them so now I just buy replacements for my most favorite ones. I was a little sad though that I lost my "Oily Bestie" status from Plant Therapy. Such a sad day lol. Hey Eric! Not sure what happened with Libby, sad we never connected beyond socials so I have no way of knowing if all is ok but I am sure she just needed to disconnect for a while. Social media can be a bit much...
It makes sense that the revive is stronger on the citrus. Citrus oils are cheaper than floral oils...a cheaper blend is going to add more of the cheap oils and less of the more expensive oils. This does play a role in the YL being more pricey.
Valid point, I would have to look again at the order of the essential oils on each label. I have always understood that which ever oil is at the top of the list is what mostly in the blend. Also, citrus oils are top notes so you typically smell those first and they evaporate quicker than the other notes which I notice when I diffuse both oils. Still have both and still very much so love both, one maybe a bit more than the other.

I've just found out that the Spruce in Self Esteem is not Black Spruce (Picea mariana) but Spruce (Tsuga canadensis) so that might be why we don't get the same smell as in Valor. Balance from doTerra is quite similar to Self Esteem though I love love the latter 💜 Great review Erika 😊🌺
Oh thanks for letting me know! I have tried Balance since this video and agree it's smells quite like self esteem. I have really grown to love Valor just hate how expensive it is.
@@LearningToBeMeErikaa I've just tried a blend of Self Esteem + Black Spruce + Geranium and it smells tremendously good!! That's the closest I'm getting to Valor I suppose 🙈😅
Young Living Valor is the original. The other companies are knock offs! You can make a hamburger from grass fed beef at home or you can buy a hamburger from a fast food restaurant. They are both hamburgers but they definitely are not the same! You can eat a homegrown tomato or one from Walmart. Both are tomatoes BUT DEFINITELY NOT the same!!! Essential oils are definitely not the same either! Cheap oils are usually a sure sign of synthetic oil but ...hey, they are kid friendly! Not! You should do more homework before doing another video!
You should ask yourself why these other essential oil companies keep trying to copy Young Living blends! Why don’t they create their own? !? Why would they want to copy a "cult" company? A student who cheats ....copies from the smartest student who is well prepared NOT from the student who doesn’t study or do their own homework.

I feel the same with my desert mist. I even had it replaced. The water would get warm which made the scent go away I tried cleaning. It just doesn’t smell as well as my Ella diffuser
Well I’m glad I’m not alone! I tend to use warm water in the diffuser because helps with keeping the steam but realize also the smell ends quickly. I don’t know what to do with it anymore and I never went through with replacing it (the only thing I had replaced was the sonic plate). What is the Ella diffuser??
Good thing I found your video. Just new to EG and I'm starting to love their oils. I'm a YL user and collecting oils is my hobby. However, I'm looking for alternatives without breaking the bank. This gives me ideas of what EG oils to purchase. Loving their synergy blends than YL and PT. For me, they have the best blends.😊
I full agree! Edens Garden blends are phenomenal and far better than other companies. I use various companies as well and love something about each one.
@@LearningToBeMeErikaa true. Like their Stress Relief, it smells like YL's Peace and Calming but one thing I like is that the Ylang Ylang is not overpowering. I just noticed that most YL blends that have Ylang Ylang has a strong scent of it. Same with their blends with Lemongrass.
So happy you found Jade Bloom! I’ve been skeptical of their low price point compared to other companies like them and different from them, but yet so impressed with their quality! I have the Texas Cedarwood, it LITERALLY smells like Texas, so I use it when I’m feeling nostalgic or need grounding! Rhode Island’s Cedarwood smells completely different (it’s in my backyard haha) but yeah I really feel they’re passionate about their sourcing strategies and where they get their oils, and they hold up their promise not to dilute. I want to add more to my collection but I’m not sure what to get next! Ho Wood sounds so great though! That’s awesome you have an affiliate link for them. I didn’t realize they still do their Tuesday thing, I’ve been looking for some discounts!
Hi there Tara!! I have honestly not a bad thing to say about this company still. Their product and customer service is truly incredible. I do highly recommend Ho Wood and their Well Being Blend is a great one also.
I just did a lot of mixing oils into master blends too. I am FINALLY (after 9 months of trying out 487362833 oils to find my likes and dislikes), getting down to getting my “core oils” and my “secondary oils” figured all out. Im trying to refine things as much as possible so I can focus my EO funds better instead of randomly scrolling websites picking things to try out. Lol. Whew! Maybe once i feel organized and better prepared I will start making videos. I think my “area of focus” will be diffuser and inhaler blends. Theres A TON of things to make with EO, and I need to take baby steps and not try to overwhelm myself trying to do everything...but hey, EOs are very fun and exciting and enjoyable so there’s good reason to be manic sometimes (then use your sedative inhaler real quick).
