If people were buying cars based on youtube and reddit comments/reviews then it would appear like every other car in India is better than Tata Punch. However in reality, people who actually are looking to buy a car need do tests and extensive research before making a decision. It's a big decision like buying a house or marriage because lakhs of rupees have to be spent. It does not matter to us car buyers that some maruti loverboy with no money or experience of any other brand is writing negative comments on every video or reddit post of a non-maruti car. Anyways, in a large car market like India it is not a matter of joke that Tata Punch is one of the best selling models across all brands. Clearly people are buying it because it is has got some value. Last year I was shopping for a car too and I bought the Punch. Of course it's not perfect but in comparison to its competition, I found it to be better than every other car that I tested in terms of suspension, AC, music system, quality of components, safety, high speed handling+steering response. In other areas like engine and its refinement, space, ground clearance, comfort, etc, it was on par with others or thereabouts. Yes, engine performance is not its greatest attribute. 1st and 2nd are slow gears but once it hits the 3rd gear then it's as good as any other car. I almost bought the Exter but they were not selling base variant for some reason. If you want any kind of quality under 7.5 lakhs then Exter and Punch are both excellent choices. Like Punch, Exter is not some performance king either. After about speed of 60-70 you really have to press the pedal to make it go faster. Maruti, Nissan and Renault were flatly rejected because of cheap and lowest quality metal/plastic/leather/fabric used all over their vehicles. Yes, they appear value for money at first when everything is new and shiny but in a year or two things start degrading very quickly.
@@MotorTruth I drove it last year and again recently, if compared, found improvement in suspension set up. It's not too stiff or soft, but yes Punch suspension is better than Exter. The Tata service centres aren't improving only which is one important factor.

@@fgc007 XUV 3XO TGDI AT produces 250 NM torque how it is only 5 NM less. More over that curvv is above segment car in which they should offer 1.5L tgdi.
@@MotorTruth by default they ask to pay few items which are not applicable in 2nd service I denied so they kept me waiting for more than 6.5 hrs 10.30 am to 5.30 pm
