You are not being winey .You are just being real .My husband had Glioblastoma. Everyday he had to deal with more unpleasant changes. It is a ordeal to be ill without your mind playing tricks on you and all the bodily things that go with it. I wish I could just hold your hand and tell you "the people that love you will keep loving you no matter what," When you are having the worst day they will be glad that you are still with them. Remember ,we were all stinky babies once, and we were still loved.
That is wonderful news Jane! I have Grade IV GBM on the right side and in the midst of radio and chemotherapy. Apart from the keto diet and exercise is there anything else you recommend? I have read that Ivermectin or Mebendazole have helped some folk with preventing chemo resistance but my Oncologists don’t endorse or prescribe it. Blessings to you 🙏🏼💝🕯️✝️
Hi Kathy. Thank you so much for reaching out. So sorry about your diagnosis. To say a grade 4 GBM is scary is an understatement. Re my recommendations, I plead complete medical ignorance when it comes to treatment. I sold books for a living before this! But 2 things: I feel better than I felt in years, and I do believe it’s because of my ketogenic diet. Specifically the low carbohydrate aspect. Past niggles - joint pain, plantar fasciitis to name a few - have cleared up. That is proof that a ketogenic diet is at the very least not harmful. 2 - it is a hard diet to stick to, but doing it gives me a sense of agency, which gives me hope. For me, no hope = death. Hi @Boscoh. Inside Out 2 was perfect. I was a teenage girl once. Ennui nailed it. Looking back, there were so many things that helped me and comforted me, and gave me hope, but two standouts were my GP, who is kind and approachable and there with me from the start, and Jason, who is the only reason I’m still here.
