00:02 - 🚗 Introduction to the owner's personal Suzuki Jimny, used as a daily driver for over 75,000 kilometers. 00:38 - 🕰 Long wait times for delivery due to high demand, even years after the car's release. 01:00 - 🚫 The car is banned in some countries due to lack of safety standards, and in Europe, it's only sold as an industrial vehicle. 01:35 - 🇮🇳 The production of the Jimny moved between Japan and India over the years, and prices have increased by thousands since launch. 02:10 - 🛠 The owner modified the Jimny with American Racing rims, improving its stance and reducing unsprung weight. 03:01 - 🏞 Tires upgraded to BF Goodrich Trail Terrain, suitable for both on-road and off-road use. 03:18 - 🔧 Rear bumper replaced with a narrower Japanese version, showing more of the tires for a more aggressive look. 03:40 - 🚙 Yellow shock absorbers were added to improve performance, with spacers increasing the ride height by an inch. 04:25 - 🟡 Yellow accents were added to match the car's new shocks, including the Suzuki logo and interior details. 05:10 - 📏 Custom-made armrest added for comfort, as the car didn't come with one. 05:45 - 📦 Additional interior modifications include a cup holder and a storage tray for better functionality. 06:16 - 🌡 Plastic interior helps dissipate heat quickly in hot weather, making the car comfortable to drive in warm climates. 06:39 - 🔧 Simple design makes it easy and affordable to repair, including a complete roof replacement after a rollover. 07:14 - 🛑 The owner installed a kill switch for the airbags, useful for off-road driving by disconnecting safety systems. 07:45 - 🚨 Car currently has 73,000 kilometers on it, and the horn has been upgraded to a more attention-grabbing sound. 08:19 - 🌬 Concerns about the air conditioning's performance were unfounded, with the system working well even in hot summers. 08:46 - 🐢 Despite engine modifications, the car remains slow, taking about 12 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h.
If they were to import this into Malaysia with its jungle off-roading culture, it will sell out like hot cakes. Even now, models which are 30+ years old or more sell at inflated prices compared to other similar vintage 4x4 off-road vehicles.
I got an RC350 F sport and I'm looking it except for the fact that there's not a single space to put even the smallest masafi😅. I truly love the car. Quick enough for the roads. I'm not going track with it. Sporty and a the same time. Have no trouble doing almost 200km daily on it. In the future I might go for an rcf.
The rear vent on the back bumper are in fact functional. Every vent on the RCF is functional. I love my 2020. You never see these cars anywhere and no one knows what the hell they are. They just think it's a typical lexus. Then you take off and people are suprized that it has an 8 cylinder under the hood. It's comfortable, sounds awesome (when you change the exhaust), and is just a nice place to be inside. Yes I'd love more HP but honstly it has zero issues getting into triple digit speeds. I was cruising almost at 95 effortlessly driving to work early in the morning, and when I looked down I was surprized I was going that fast. Very stable and planted.
terrific take on the car. I did a short test drive in a used one and was blown away by how comfortable it was as well as feeling quick despite the weight and it sounded great but not overpowering. Many of the reviews of the car colored my preconceptions but the drive showed me it was an awesome machine. Does the rear seat fold down? How good is the Cruise control and lane tracing?
7abibi that car is very slow honestly Yeah it fun to drive sure it sounds good too But the interior is so outdated and it's so annoying to get smoked by almost every inline six made after 2019 when you are driving a v8 supposedly 467hp (realistically 360whp) lol
I've had my 2018 RCF since new. You're spot on with your review. I keep telling people, it's a Japanese Mustang. It's a muscle car and I love it for that. It's big, loud and powerful. It's not really a track car (although it is quite capable). It's not as fast as an M4 or C63, but that doesn't matter. Long after those two cars have fallen apart, the RCF will still be going. PS - You can turn off a lot of those speed limit alarms and seat belt warnings if you can get Toyota Techstream 😁
3-5 yrs later this will feel outdated like last gen laptop or iphone. Just like glitzy fashion paved way for old money look. All this excess will drive demand for something contrary & minimalist. Every manufacturer shd have at least one lightweight, stripped out, bare minimum electronics, performance car with reliable engine with 10 yr bumper to bumper warranty
the 2024 model pretty much looks like has elements copied from D90 TDCI (they even copied the lack of armrests :) )...the wide front helps with turning/parking in the city
The problem with this car is not the car itself, it’s the price. Yes, the interior is nice in an outdated sort of way, but it’s also CHEAP. For over 70,000 buckeroos we can’t even get leather on the horn button of the wheel??? Plastic creaks everywhere as well. Concerning the engine, yes it’s very nice. However, it’s so subdued and boring. You really have to mash the pedal down to get power which is the exact opposite on any Mustang or M2. For me the car is gorgeous but is a fair bit overpriced. I just feel like we make too many justifications for this car. “It’s a Japanese muscle car that’s not meant to be as fast as other muscle cars, not supposed to be able to turn.” “The interior isn’t supposed to be like a modern car, it’s nice that it’s dated with plastic everywhere and an odd touch control system we don’t even use.” “It’s okay that the entire trunk is taken up by a heavy af spare tire.” For me the question arises, what are we paying for? The money isn’t going to an updated interior, nor is it in superior tech, nor is it in an engine that is meant to outperform other cars, nor is the engine note any different than any budget V8 in any other Camaro, Challenger/Charger, or Mustang. Just an odd miss by Lexus imo just for the single fact that it’s $70,000 and you can get an M2, AMG, RS3, Dark Horse, and Supra all for less than that. Just my opinion though.
