I’ve had my ax-10 for about 16+ years now. Aside from trimming the body so the tires don’t rub and replacing the front steering bar, the rig is still bone stock. Love it.
I used to go each year, from mid 70's thru to early 80's with my old man. He had raced him self and had raced on the island. We also had family on the IOM. Being Socusers it was an easy trip over to the IOM. We used to like to stand at Kate's Cottage, the 1st corner after a long straight downhill all the way.
I never really got how those training ball things are supposed to help. Are you maybe supposed to use them only on the ground just so you can get your head around learning which stick does what, and get some muscle memory, like gain some experience when the heli is facing towards you? It's obvious from the video, and others comments here, that it was the training skids what did it. From experience, if something can get tangled in the blade or the motor they will.
A great wheel tyre combo is 40mm wide 2,2 rims with 1.9 baja pro x tyres with stock proline 2,2 foams. I also run g8 hyrax 1.9 on 2.2 rims bothe are great performers
Im in Georgia US watching this & everytime the blue car causes a wreck the video replays it in slow motion! LOL the driver of the blue car needs this video sent to their place of employment!
I purchased a couple of the MAVERICK STRADA TC BRUSHLESS MOTOR TOURING CARS . The first thing I did was to FIT HSP ALLOY BODY SHELL POSTS , and now ARE a really solid structure for body shell . The next thing I did was cut and trim a lot of the sides down of the body shell . Then cut the whole rear centre piece out of the rear body shell leaving the rear side panels . Lastly I had to adjust the whole camber of all 4 wheels , then adjust the toe of the front wheels to toe out . spent quite a bit of time on getting the first MAVERICK STRADA TC car to my liking and preference . Out of the box it isn't set perfectly , but after spending time on it , it's now an utter beast of a well handling car and fast enough for me at 50+ mph on a 3S Lipo . The oil shocks have good performance too . I've a boat load of only brushless on road cars , touring cars , rally cars , road racers etc , and some racing buggies and racing truggies . I paid £150 a piece for my two MAVERICK STRADA TC BRUSHLESS TOURING CARS , from MODELSPORT UK , a bargain , especially now since I have set one of the two , the one I am currently using .
Probably a bit late to the party here but is there still any SCT racing happening at any of there tracks now in 2024? I have the Team Associated PRO4 SC10 and would be great to get onto a track and do some racing.
There’s a new track only opened “RC I, The Dirt” They cater for both 1/10 & 1/8 They don’t do SCT at the moment but if enough interest I’m sure they would. Most Wednesdays are practice nights and more sort of run what you brung atmosphere. Look them up on Facebook 😃👍
My only issue that stops me from picking up that Cross RC, is that they use a proprietary steering servo I think. It's not easy (or possible?) to change it.
@@paulm1237 the diff lock servos are an in between size but not difficult to get nor are they expensive.. the AGFRC B26CLM servo is a direct replacement 👍
hi there, im looking to purchase this truck. i have 2 questions: 1) reliability - any broken parts? 2) i've notice that it doesnt have a fan mount for the motor, are you mounting a fan at all?
@@Dan-gq4yg I don’t currently have access to one to check, I’ll ask the question.. but if there isn’t and a fan is a deal breaker then just drill a hole to mount one. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to do it. As I say, we ran pack after pack though the rig, passing it around and it never got too hot.
A great run out in the water. I would love to get my hands on those suspension units. And the truck as well. Just a daft question. Could the suspension be fitted to a 1/14 lorry a' la Tamiya?
I'm surprised you're starting in acro mode, but I guess in a sense, that's good. Skipping a step though I'd think. Boy that's a high headspeed too. Yeah, it's weird how a breeze will lift it to the sky so quickly. Mine do the same. Good goin' though! Keep p the good work. I'm about where you are as far as flying skills go, but I give you credit for starting off in acro! You're a brave soul!
Everyone advised to start in acro as other ways could create bad habits 🤷♂️ It’s been a while since I’ve flown but the weather is getting good now so no excuses 😂
It wierd, i remember lots of youtubers, famous ones all crapped on cantilever suspensions, like the one that came on that one gmade on the gmade 4x4 with rear cantilever. They all said it was crap and the ones that kept it changed it to regular shock setup. And now you show it doing better . Im so confused
I would guess the gmade one was a crap design 🤷♂️ I’ve seen some terrible ones out there!! There’s no trickery involved, you can clearly see it’s just so much more capable 😃
If you go back a few videos you’ll see me run my one alongside a stock one.. loads more articulation, lower centre of gravity, more supple and just about better in every way 😃 And it’s only 22 miles to Portpatrick in Scotland across the Irish Sea!! Done it many times on our RIB 🛥️
Wow extreme climbing! I make a "budget" flex suspension ,i only remove the shocks from my second axel and it works well for climbing, ill be surprised!
Lee is snowed under in work and they are on the back burner.. he’s not even had time to fit the kit he made to his own rig. He will get them done but they are not at the top of the list at the moment. Wish I had better news but I’m afraid that’s all I can say
Have bought the NEW Truck and getting all parts together, but guess I will be waiting awhile for those not great have to be content with watching videos well jealous
