This channel is designed to support anyone who is interested in the Warhammer 40k hobby. Specifically it is focused at keeping things simple and fun and avoiding the massive learning curve the gaming side of the hobby can have. If you are interested in understanding more about getting into the hobby, have started recently or still consider yourself a newbie then this is the channel for you! Don't be embarrassed about not knowing all the rules inside and out, not knowing from memory all the FAQs and Errata updates or even knowing your army completely, you can play and have fun without all that.
This is our focus, to be Simple and hopefully helpful

Yer not heard from you for a little while. I had a break with my holiday but getting back into the swing now. YT is funny and doesn't show vids to people unless they are recent viewers, very fickle ! We are good though thanks hope you are well too 😊
thanks very much, I do find my subscriber count goes up nicely and yet my videos don't pop off with views, still struggling to get things seen, its hard work
That's one of the fun things for me is chatting in the comments. I've been blessed with lots of nice people and very few haters but I'm generally a positive channel I think 😊
This videos a really good one cheers for making it and ye i suppose u are doing all it wrong for an optimised channel but prob the right way to do it for a lil 🤌 moola
I make videos as I do because it keeps it interesting for me and I'm more likely to keep going, also it's video lengths I'd rather be watching. Money-wise a channel like mine only earns under £100 per month, that doesn't go far in the hobby, better than nothing though 😁
On the topic of clicking thumbnails, I was recommended a video that said in the title and thumbnail that if you watched it, you'd get a dollar. I watched it, and my dollar was unfortunately stolen, but it was such a wild thumnail concept, I subbed.
@@SimplyWarhammer What people hate more than clickbait is a liar. If you're blatant enough with your crimes and double down hard enough people love it. Or something like that I read in a Terry Pratchett book.
trying ti get a1-2k army started. got 2x gretchin, thrakka, 1x3 killa kanz, 1×5 storm boyz, 2x10 boyz and a deff dread and a boss snikrot. just under 900 points so far. deff want a trukk to. how would I run this army in ur opinion?
Hi, seems like a fun list, defo when starting just play with the things you like, the rule of cool should win 😁 I think a trukk works to hold objectives and gives the boyz a push forwards, perhaps add a warboss to lead them, they hit hard! You've got a nice mix there with mission play (stormboyz & snikrot) and big punch (thraka, deff dread). As a fun thing to try zodgrod wortsnagga to lead one gretchin squad, he makes them great 😅
Yer it's a silly but fun option. They get scout to get on a middle objective and become harder hitting for what it's worth. They go to 12" move in the waaagh so could steal an objective out OC'ing an enemy

Nope, good spot though 👍 YT checks for content usage and the video passed and in terms of usage as long as you are adding something or being transformative then you can use content without asking for approval. I produced a rapid fire video and it was a lot of effort writing the script and keeping the time down. Mine is a short entry to the topic and doesn't take away from watching long videos as well 😊
While it’s clear that this codex will underperform in competitive try hard play, I’ve been running it in our LGS Crusade for a couple of weeks and it is incredibly fun to play in narrative and casual play. The armies major drawbacks such as poor range, no heavy armor, and no good anti vehicle really make you adapt your play style and try new things. I’ve greatly enjoyed it so far. I do feel like my enjoyment is impacted on the peace of mind that I have several other much stronger armies in my collection to use if needed as opposed to it being my only choice. I’d feel bad if this was my only army
It was a really good event for my first proper tournament. I just didn't have the right list or good luck on the dice rolls. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. I'm already booked into the next one on January. At some point we'll get that game in. I might even bring Spoony. :)
Well I actually hope you don't pick spoony up a new friend at that one haha... and fingers crossed we get a game. I can't make Jan 25th as already booked in for King in the North event in Stockport on the same day
Glad it sounds like u had a great tournament dude! Also dw bout losing to 3 c’tan- that’s a tough challenge Also congrats on nearly reaching 10k subs! :D
Yikes dude that's so generous thanks very much 😍 Our game was great fun and quite mental battling everywhere 😅 I'll head down to future ones so hope to see and play again... won't be daemons next time 😉
Well done, I never see daemons played in my area! Giant daemons is the way I'd go because the models are fantastic, don't know whether that'd be strong though lol
Just saying hi, wishing you the best! Always love finding you pop up in my YT feed. Side note, I just added 5 Grey Knights to my Astra Militarum, pretty excited to play with Imperial Agents in my Guard lists. Its not the most efficient, but its really thematic: Why'd you put Inquisitor Greyfax and 5 Grey Knights in your Guard list? "Incase we win, no witnesses" - Greyfax lol
I hate that too especially when you get a cool model and it gets put into legends, Overall how did putting the model together go any problems, Also have you ordered any other recast Warhammer?
Building is a normal resin process so not as nice as plastic. I use JB Weld 2 part epoxy to glue things which is amazing stuff or good super glue with activator spray. Not tired any other recast places as this works well, tried 3D prints which can also be great 👍
Hi, I'll always see and respond to new comments, only replies can get a little lost in YT. For my anything khorne red can take agrax or nuln tbh. Silver and nuln, gold and reikland fleshshade but nuln or agrax also works. On the skeletons it's just skeleton horde. I've used dirty down rust since and stippeled brown for dirt and blood for the blood god on the axe edge 😁
is that a real technique, does it mess up the prints though ? Got something else to look into now lol although not sure I have the setup for such technical things 😆
I'd just look on Amazon, links are available and unavailable every time I look and it depends on region, I'd be looking in the UK store, is that what you want ? Also the concept is repeated by other brands. This isn't a sales video just me getting excites about my Christmas present lol 😁
@@SimplyWarhammerI had my first 500 point game, and these Boyz were so much fun! The Wierdboy was the MVP nailing all his teleports and even mind blowing a Space Marine captain in one hit with a hot roll on ‘Eadbanger. Most importantly my friend and I had a wonderful time and some memorable moments. This is the team for me 🧠🤘⚡️ This video was an excellent tutorial. Thanks again for posting.
Thats great 😁 Orks are super fun and their new 10th edition codex is fantastic ! I love the wierdboy but he also has a fun habit of blowing his own head up haha enjoy 👍
Our Apoc games are played with pts tracking. Turn 1 no models are removed from play, destroyed models still get to act and shoot and do everything normally. Turn 2, destroyed models are removed, pts tallied. Players pushed to 50% and below in starting pts are allowed to forfeit the rest of their army on table, redeploy fully in the next round and play as per normal. Armies destroyed add to the VP count, objectives are team based, meaning no one player can score for their team, players are required to work together to accomplish/secure objectives on table. Titans are worth VP when destroyed, but are allowed to redeploy for the following turn, so none of our Titan owners get one round and done lol
That's a cool set of rules 👍 I like the add up damage and remove after turn 1, makes sure there's no alpha strike. We used alternating activations to stop that but there's still a benefit activating a titan 1st. We scored points as a team and in day 2 toy could bring back a % of what was destroyed day 1. My warlord didn't come back which was a shame lol 😁
Not sure I know what that looks like tbh lol... its always a worry with people walking passed models or knocking tables ... one chap was having a look and had the biggest backpack on his back 🤦🏻♂️
I'm going to use agents when the outpost finally gets it's 500pt speed hammer league going. 3 assassins, an inquisitor and and some arbites 👍. Speed by name and nature
@SimplyWarhammer 3 games, 45 mins long, in an evening. It's something dan the manager used to run in a different store but hasn't got going yet at the outpost. It'll come, I'll update you when it does
I really love this codex , i can field inquisition and adeptus arbites units mixed with Assassin’s and add grey knights terminators it feels like the video game of warhammer 40k chaosgate demon hunters. Its awesome. For the lack of fire power you could still play some armigers from the imperial knights as allies or a big knight if you desire :D
the sheer amount of battle shock this army can put out, and the amount of redeploy means i think it will be somewhat viable, though it will struggle badly in certain matchups
Am i missing something? Why do a bunch of reviewers think the DC Dread cant 'Driven By Fury' move into combat? It's NOT a 'normal' move... Please enlighten me.
Yer it is a mistake, apparently it can move into engagement which is super powerful 👍 I don't have the book just piecing together the video by watch loads of long videos and summarising for my channel style. Thanks for the clarification
Games Workshop jumped the shark a bit on this one. They give it to us as a new army but really it's an allies codex and nothing else. Still time for a full Deathwatch codex though I hope.
I think GW have a downer on deathwatch for a while and I think this is it for them ! They should have released an actual codex 1st, this isn't going to increase sales, perahps for assassins !
You are quite right. They could have easly done an actual army rule even if it was weak. However i like the codex as an odd bod set of rules and its inspired me to make a 'Renegades Agents' force! Close to 1k painted now and going to use it in an escalation league soon!
You can definitely build an interesting army out of this with varied units so would be fun... just don't think people will take it to tournaments but thats not the be all that ends all anyway 😊
Don't know about those 2 platforms but people do it all the time on Etsy. Depends whether you have permissions to resell, often creatures of stl's have special arrangements with resellers
I just wanted an option to choose an absolutely random collection of models and I got it. Some of the rules are tricky in a good way, like the assassins, and the ability to put sisters or gk termies in anything imperial is just neat. I get that some people are upset. Justifiably so. Deathwatch are now on life support just like harlequins.
I'm not sure tbh sorry ! I don't have the book just pieced everything together from all the long video reviews to create this short overview video. sorry
@@SimplyWarhammerno need to be sorry it’s fine, just wanted to make sure cause the phrasing sounded like it could, or didn’t state otherwise, either ways, the video was a great, thank u for it
My only problem with Orks in both 40k and AoS is that I only like 1 part of the orks. Da Hunt and Ironjawz and don't really want to mix the other orks (40k) or dont have an easy accessible spearhead (aos).
