Sometimes coffee scents come off as a chocolate or Tootsie Roll notes to me, so I tend to not buy them, even though I absolutely would love for my whole house to smell like coffee! Have you burnt the Stranger Things coffee one yet?

The "til we are ghosts" sign made me think of the silly quarreling ghost couple in Hogwarts Legacy 🤭 but those two ghosts might not exactly be "couple goals" as they say. 😬 I love these videos you do- not only am I an HP & HL geek, I also work in the medical field. (Well, even if I didn't, I'm a science geek that likes anatomy & physiology as well as curiosities.) I am also right there with you on a.i. As fascinating as technology is and how it's changed throughout centuries, humans are an important part of that. Humans have ideas and many are also creative. I saw someone reacted to these a.i. programs writing letters for children- I know they were already advertising paper writing tools for college students. The woman was talking about how much confidence can come from utilizing your own ideas, knowing that your thoughts have value. I know I'm not everyone, but I really enjoyed writing papers in school. I liked using the dictionary and a thesaurus, for my little neurodivergent self it helped me summarize concepts that I wasn't sure how to explain and learning something new that wasn't necessarily part of the assignment was a nerdy rebellious thing. I can't describe it. 😅 Sometimes the simplest method can be the best but plenty of times trial and error is so much more beneficial. Another neurodivergent thing about me is that I have always enjoyed finding multiple solutions to things- I may not be creative in a traditional sense, but brainstorming problem solving strategies can be fun for some of us too. Connecting ideas/topics, maybe finding D between A and H 🙃 when most are satisfied with AB&C... tangent I am sorry. Human brains are incredible and we are all wired so differently! It's beautiful. It's what I love about the holiday season, just the holiday but the hunt, ideas, and gathering of things to pull something off. Do not be sorry for a long comment. I don't know how to be brief myself and I totally agree. I do believe there is a place for AI as a tool, but that's not the direction it's moved. It's moved in the direction of attempting to replace artists (literally using their hard work) and, in my opinion, dumbing down society by having it do the 'thinking' for us. I recall recently being on a task force for my muggle job. We were coming up with a customer service philosophy. And the first thing someone said was that they used Chat GPT to come up with some written philosophies. That concerned me, that instead of first doing the work ourselves the resort is to have a machine come up with things. It takes the opportunity away from humans to be challenged and I think, these days, we could use more of that. 😉😉 I will definitely be saying a touch more on this in an upcoming Halloween haul. Oh the patience this takes lol. I just don’t know that I have the patience for a build this big. I think the only big one I would want to get would be the stack of books with Hedwig, the collectors edition I think it is. But this this so cool. Thanks for the close up.
Haha!!! Well, it helps that I had help. It would have been A LOT of hours doing it solo. And I'll say, the Hedwig Collector's edition one isn't a big one. I think it's a good medium sized one and we LOVE it! It was the first Harry Potter lego I got. 🦉📚
I built this set a year or so ago. Honestly one of the best sets out there. Definitely worth the money and a must have if your into Harry Potter. Then you need to get Gringots to really complete it. The newer sets don't compare at all to this. They are more of a little kids playset. The other set a HP fan needs is the original micro Hogwarts castle. Skip the newer smaller version. Yes it's cheaper but honestly not worth it.
I totally agree! I understand if someone can't afford this one, is why Lego has those cheaper options. I'm similar to you in that cheaper doesn't equal worth, just because the cost is lower. As mentioned, we got Gringotts (and may have already put it together 😜). We'll have that video out in the next week or two but, like you said, one just can't get the one set. We need the whole diagon alley. hehe It's so so good!
@@LoveLumos I used to buy all the sets but now I mainly buy just the bigger ones. If you add up what you spend for all the smaller ones it covers the cost of a big higher quality set. Plus it's a more impressive display
This is my most favourite Lego set. So glad you got this version. The smaller sets are nice but more for younger people imo or if you have less space. This set works well with Modular’s also

I just got the ink well with the quill, the book box with Frankinstein, Dracula and Sleepy Hollow and the book box of Poe's Books. Absolutely no complaints. The ink well is going into my Harry Potter room which I have set it up like a Common Room. I have been wanting and ink well. The book boxes look great over my fireplace adding to my Dark Academia vibe. I have a dark brown cat that looks the cat painting, but I am waiting for a decent discount for that one.

Oh yes, classic monsters and Sleepy Hollow! As well as Poe 🖤. People tend to be surprised how much I enjoyed Poe while I wss in school. Other than my love of the skeletal system, I don't exactly come across as someone that likes anything "dark." (I mean, my favorite clothing eras are the 70s and 40s dresses) But good literature and poetry is good literature and poetry. When a poet or author can wonderfully paint a scene, and their specific choice of words.. 😊😊😊😊 Oh and the classic monsters- I enjoy them much more than slasher or modern monsters. I should correct that. We couldn’t find anything official confirming it, only noticing those with obvious water marks on many. I have seen something similar on some sub boxes. Oh I have thoughts. I am currently considering returning two I picked up. I am so bummed about the situation. 😔
@LoveLumos The print from the Haunted Forest line with the ghostly woman and white wolf has the most notable watermarks of an AI company. Also, the wolf looks like she has 3 front legs. The line is so intriguing, but Michael's should be supporting real artists.

I understand marketing and cost, but a store that sells tools for artists should at least have a real person designing their lines. I myself am not creative but can definitely see how certain stores should make some choices differently, when they consider their consumers. Not that I am definitely not supporting the idea of using a.i., but designed by a person, I could see a creature with more legs/eyes/claws than expected fits well into mythology. This huffleclaw would love a unique creature and love him just the same--- just disappointed in Michael's in their choice.

Yes and no, mostly because Ryan is known to put his family in stuff. So I wasn’t too surprised to know Blake played her. But I was kind of surprised by his kids being in it as baby Deadpool or the other cameos as Deadpool like Nathan Fillion & Matthew McConaughey. But it was Blade showing up that honestly made me tear up. I looooooved Blade growing up.
Great video i did like the mini coffin glass shelf don't know where it would fit in but I do like it.The haunted forest line was interesting the hourglass was Kool and I did like the background shelf lining.
Yes- little glass and metal curio cabinets have always been fascinating to me! Although not coffin shaped, I have one that was my grandmother's that has a little door. I do hope to collect some more that I don't think I would break! 🫣

I may be reading too far into it, but I feel like Arthur not taking the time to learn muggle things and the wizards not caring how they look at the cup plays into the prejudice of how the magical world feels about the non-magic world 🤷🏼♀️. It creates a much more meaningful message in the end and gives Arthur a bigger character arch. Or it's just for comic relief 😂
Sorry for the delay in replying. I guess we can see that for some other characters but not for a character whose job it is to be in charge of muggle stuff but who also loves muggle stuff. I think it was less a problem with Arthur but more Rowling's writing in not keeping him consistent to what he had been.
What a lovely collection of Magic Mail! The first package was so cute and the second one was overwhelming with how wonderful it was! I love that one line that was featured and was surprised how many people disliked it. The pins were great, especially all the magical creatures, b/c I can’t get enough of them! Other than spiders and scorpions and a few invertebrates, which is why I have 21 of them. I would love to know where the owl ornament came from. I decorate my Christmas tree with owls as a memorial/symbol for my late Dad. I’m in Canada so no Joann’s up here but if this one came from an Etsy shop I might be able to get it.
It was such a magical box!! I will cherish it indefinitely. Which line did people dislike? The Dumbledore one? I'm not sure there's a Dumbledore line I dislike. I don't know what shop it is, but if that artist is using the Joann owl (and I"m 💯% certain they are), then they'd be limited in how many, since they don't currently sell that owl. I'd seen them on Mercari a while back. But if I come across any owls ornaments in general, I'll send a link your way!
I absolutely loved the scene where the Weasleys try to come through the fireplace, I was cracking up as each one shows up and then Ron comes in and says 'is there something wrong ' and Fred makes some snarky remark. I can't wait to see it in the TV show! I love how Bill is portrayed in the books, but if you look at each of the Weasleys they are all different in the book than the movie, in the book Ron is tall and lanky and Fred and George are shorter like Charlie. It will be interesting if they cast people who are closer to the book's description.

It's actually kinda shocking to me just how much is different because it is both the look of the character but also their actions and how they carry themselves, that soooo many were represented differently.
