most common thing in these beautiful european cities is the lack of a natural environment. they deleted all natural soil and naturally occurring plants with birds and squirrels among them. these creature are found only in jungle now.Being clean is not beautiful in my opinion. What is the use of a beautiful plant if there are no honeybees or birds or butterflies around ?

It's just over 30 years since I last visited Laroque, my late father in law had two adjoining houses there and my husband and I would regularly fly into Girona with our bikes, cycle up and over Le Perthus to Laroque and spend a a couple of weeks cycling around the area. I was a lot younger and fitter back then! Beautiful village, it's changed a lot since then but I still remember quite a few of the streets. On our last visit we came back with our son on board so that put paid to our visits for quite a while, then FIL passed and the houses were sold, sadly.
