That was a transformative time in SB (Fess Parker Red Lion Inn Resort, Underpass at State St / 101, Paseo Nuevo, widening of 101 to 3 lanes). Pretty cool video. Thanks for posting it.
I've been to Morro Bay, and they really do have many adorable sea otters there. If you come at the right time, there will be a dozen, and they will be teaching their pups how to swim, cuddling them, turning somersaults, and cleaning each other's toes. SO CUTE!!!
Is that a Mazda Rotary pickup I see at 6:20? Those are very rare! I don't even remember seeing one back then. Wonder if the CRX is still around. I own an '84 CRX.
The first boat is a Catalina 28 from the 1990's. Very popular boat and boat maker. It's predecessor, the Catalina 27, is arguably the the most popular production sailboat in history. The second boat, a pilothouse design is hard to tell, but it may be a one off. The third one is a ketch, Allied Seawind, Choy Lee, or similar from the 70- 80's.
It's a real sad sight seeing boats on beaches, rocks, sunk or half submerged. I think what it must be like for the the owners, because to own a sail boat for the vast majority of us is a passion that is very expensive. So to spend so much of your money and time on an object means you really love the boat and to see it wallowing like that must be heart breaking.
High school was a tough time for me I was foot shorter than the girls 40 lbs overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and over time when blind
Cool classic video.. I lived there during the late seventies. It was a good time to be alive and living the dream in Santa Barbara. I could be seen driving the streets in my 67 Camaro listening to KMET or KLOS 😬
