You guys are lucky to have lived this, I’m 18(born 2004) male in Los Angeles, everyone and every thing is relaxed chill good music cool people, now everyone is on their phones and tik tok listening to dumb music w dumb trends and everyone now (especially attractive girls are total jerks now), thank you for sharing the moment🙏🏻

So people today aren’t allowed to enjoy the things they like? You’re acting like there weren’t any people who were jerks, into dumb trends, or thought the contemporary music was weak back then. The only difference is the lack of smartphones, and what difference does that make while driving around? I mean the guy is literally in the passenger seat of a car recording their experience on video, doesn’t seem that different to me

I was 16 in 1989 and I lived in San Diego. I know what you mean. One main thing that is different nowadays in California is it's so overpriced. But I enjoyed living there and I recently moved back and I still love it.

I was 19 in 2004’ living in LA, and 2004 was a totally different time than it is now in LA, in 2004 it still wasn’t a lot of social media, IPhones and all those apps didn’t surface until 2009-2010, so it was real chill and cool in 2004 I miss those days , I was too young in 1989 to remember what was really going on lol I was only 4 in 89’

This brought back a lot of nostalgia. State Street was closed at the 101 because that's when they were taking out the traffic lights and building the bridge. That entire project I believe was finished in 1991 or so... and for those commenting on the bad driving, who cares. They were young and we all did fun stuff like this. Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed it.
