Welcome to Rad Rides! My name is Ehsan Shirazi and I am a car enthusiast. In this channel, I will be showcasing cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs that are important to either myself or have a niche or special place in the car community. Thank you in advance for tuning in. WOW! That is a true unicorn and you are sitting on a gold mine since it's has the V6, 5sp, 4X4 and E-Locker. Keep driving that beauty as it will only increase in value. I would insure it with Hagerty at $25K or more.
Hi, I think buying a low mileage example or one that has a warranty through an MB dealer is a good idea. They are considered solid engines, but cam adjusters and cam position sensors are some of the common issues with these.
I own a 2005 SLK55, a 2006 BMW Z4M roadster, and a 2009 Porsche Boxster S with PDK. What an era for roadsters! The SLK is the muscle car of the lot. All are different enough that they really don't overlap. The SLK and Z4M are really rare, but prices don't reflect that yet. I would say to buy the marque that appeals to you the most, you really can't go wrong. Enjoyed the video.
Man, that's awesome that you have all of those cars. I agree with you 100% that the era of putting V8s and V10s in the cars was probably one of the best. I think in 3-5 years, the prices of Z4M and SLK55 will increase as they definitely meet the requirements for rare, classic, and stylish cars. I own 8 cars, but my favorites are my '23 M3 6speed, '24 GR Corolla 6speed, and my '97 C36 AMG big turbo. I'm also looking for a 2001-2002 Z3M that has the S54 engine (same as your Z4M). I hope to snatch one soon because I really like those. Thank you for watching the video, btw, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@@radridesbyehsanshirazi8779 lol, You have me by 1 car. I also have a 68 Camaro convertible, a base 2004 Boxster manual, a 2011 Mustang GT convertible 6 speed Brembo brake car( 1 of 1according to the Marti report.), and a 2016 GLA45 AMG. If I had more space I'd buy a Z4M coupe and a2004 Boxster 550 Spyder. Happy collecting.
@nornibres lol. You have me beat by a BUNCH since you have a fine collection of performance/classic oriented cars. I have 3 2024 Siennas that I rent out on Turo, and they're great money makers but definitely not a cars & Coffee type of vehicle. I will get there one day, hahaha
THIS IS NOT A CL65, ITS A CL600!!! Front Bumper, Grille and tail pipes are not AMG! Seat pattern is incorrect, no chrome paddle shifters, no IWC clock, Wheels are not stock nor from this era CL, and most incorrect of all is the Engine... thats not an AMG engine u bozo. The speedo in the short 0-60 clip is not even from this generation CL. CL65's dont have V12 badges on the back, it has AMG... the gauge should be 200mph.... If you gonna review cars go do some research instead of sticking your finger up ur ass
good overall review, I have a Silver one, only thing you missed was rear seats, they fold down and up to give you soo much rear storage.. but nice job.
@@radridesbyehsanshirazi8779 There are 2059 Automatics, of those, 62 in Red, 914 in white, 1082 in silver and unicorn in greyish.. Then in Manual ones, 634 were built, of those, 25 in Red, 314 in white and 295 in Silver, so slight more in silver were made than white, but not by much.
One great feature about the Tundra is it designed to run on 87 octane, you can use higher but there is no point. All the other performance trucks require high octane gas and that adds up over the life of the truck.
The roll bars don’t have plastic stitching, that is the parting line for the two cavities that mold the plastic cover for the roll bar. In any injection molded application, parting lines will be present, especially on a part that is hollow
I’ve the only Ultrasonic Blue one in Ireland, I love it, only four in the entire country. Road tax a year is 1800 euros, just to tax it, not insurance. I tax it for six months, 1003 euro, then it goes into the garage for the winter.
@@radridesbyehsanshirazi8779 thanks, it’s not so bad, once it’s paid it’s paid. Sore at the start but, after that you get used to it. I love the car, everywhere you go there’s M3, M5, Porsche, Mercedes, never ever another ISF., great car, only thing I’ve ever changed was the boot (trunk) gas struts.
@@gary5717 I see. I totally understand. I have several perfomance cars but the IS-F was something else especially when the 2nd intake opened up after 3500rpm. They are definitely very reliable.
I live up here in Sacramento recently bought my friends 2013 ISF off him in ultrasonic blue I have the white leather seats, the mods on the car Hayward and Scott exhaust Apex intake tube, swift Springs I have 65,000 miles on the car
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 I have 2 Toyota trucks which I’ve owned for going on almost 20 years now. The first is a 1983 long box 4x4 manual hubs , with a 20r carbureted motor and 4spd manual . It’s in great shape , was restored right before I bought it and has been garage kept and driven every other weekend. Love it!!! My daily is indeed a Unicorn… a 2000 4 Runner SR5 , 5spd manual, 4x4 with heated leather seats and sunroof … It’s pretty near mint as well…. I am 45 and doubt I will ever need to buy any other vehicle ever again… Simple maintenance and treated with kindness has taken me a long long way. 😎
I'm on my 6th TVR, a 2006 Tuscan Convertible 4ltr Speed6. Of all of the otthers, I miss my 4.2ltr Cerbera Speed8 the most. It was awesome. There are still quite a few TVR's in the US and Canada supported by the TVR Car Club North America.
This guy just misses the point, Merc SLK are mile munchers, good GT cruisers, a great badge to own. I suppose he hates all US cars not supplied with 6 speed manual.
I think you're missing the point. I do love my C36 AMG and my RS3 with auto. However, manual cars have a much better feel to them, especially in spirited driving.
The Cerbera and Tuscan are my favorite models. When I had my Lotus, I would have it serviced by TVR in Cullompton UK. Always enjoyed going there and seeing all the TVRs. They had a GT40 once that was in for a gearbox rebuild. It's such a shame they're gone....
Yes. I love those in addition to the Sagaris and Griffith. It must have been exciting seeing all of those cars, especially seeing the legendary GT40. I couldn't agree more with you on that and wish we could bring back some of those models.
@yellowjoe.2000 I believe it's Mega Squirt. However, the company that sold me the full turbo kit (Turbobandit) wasn't honest, and we had to do a lot of modifications.
Raptor is a performance based Baja truck with long travel suspension and bigger wheels that is different than the regular F150. This makes it not being able to tow as much.
The 5.7 is a proven million mile drivetrain! Talk to me when you get a million miles on your V6 turbo / hybrid which you won’t get close too btw ! No thanks I’ll stick with my 2021 Platinum CrewMax with all the luxury!
I absolutely agree that the 5.7 and 4.7 V8s are million mile powertrains. I'm glad that you have a solid truck. However, the tech, mpgs, interior... was way overdue for a change. The V6 TT had some issues at the beginning with its wastegates, but Toyota has worked out the bugs. Will it reach a million miles? I'm not certain, but we have to give it time.
I was told that Adam, but I'm not a professional hauler. However, I had the sales representative at Ford, who towed a lot double-check everything. It rode without any hiccup back to California. I wanted to experience both trucks. I made a comparison video as well. Thank you for your comment, and I apologize for the late reply.
Replacing solid reliability with born broken. The Audi will be fun but you should buy 2 and a Camry so you have something to drive while they are both in the shop waiting for parts. And don't keep them too long because "I''m sorry we don't make replacement parts for your car any more". Right now I'm struggling to find parts for an S4.
I totally agree with you, but my wife wanted a newer car with better tech as the IS-F was getting old. I can't emphasize how much I loved the V8 in the IS-F, and know that the reliability of the RS3 will be nowhere near the bulletproof Lexus quality. I'm sorry about your S4. I know German cars can be needy and high maintenance
@@radridesbyehsanshirazi8779 You're selling this gem (for relatively little money), to afford an 80K money pit. Get a regular A3 or S3 and keep the F. Your wife cant even tell the difference between an A3, S3, or RS3. Congratulations on your fancy Volkswagen.
Great video, a couple of notes "griffith considered one his best designs" thats not the Griffith shown at 5:32 , i think its a 3000m , the Griffith is far prettier , also thats not a flat plane V8 , thats why it sounds old school, the Maserati version of that engine has a regular cross plane V8 , the Ferrari version has a flat plane. The cerbera did have a flat plane crank originally though
Thanks for the clarification Chris. I truly appreciate it as I'm definitely not a TVR expert. It's interesting how they have different engines. It's truly a beast of a car, and I enjoyed reviewing it.
In '55 you could only get the 292 cu.in. engine. The 289 cu.in. didn't come out until the 60's. In '56 you could get the 292 cu.in. or the 312 cu.in. and in '57 you could get a 292 cu.in. (C Code) a 312 cu. In. With a single 4 barrel carb (D Code) a 312 cu.in. with dual 4 barrel carbs (E Code) or a 312 cu.in. with a Single 4 barrel carb and Paxton McCullough supercharger. (F Code). Also, All '55 thru '57 T-Bird with automatic have 3 Speed Ford-o-matic but because it normally starts in 2nd alot of people think it is a 2 speed. A 2 speed didn't come out until 1959.
@@radridesbyehsanshirazi8779 I have a "57 black with a white top and black and white interior. D code 312 automatic. It needs paint but the interior is very good. I'll probably never be able to afford a paint job but it looks pretty good for a driver car. Not a show car at all but it's rust free. I drive it almost every day if it's not raining as I never put the top on. Its almost totally original except for an upgraded radiator. This is my 3rd one. Both of my first 2 needed engine work and I sold them before I ever got the engines running.
A bit of correction on the S-class coupe history (post WW2). Many would agree that the first S-class coupe was W188 (300S and 300SC); then it was W180 (220S and 220SE) and only then W111 platform culminating in 280SE 3.5 coupe. While W116 S platform did not have a coupe in the lineup per se, MB decided to use C107 platform to produce SLC - a legendary 2+2 tourer/rally star; it was the first and only time Mercedes-Benz based their S-class coupe on a stretched 2-seat SL roadster platform, rather than on a large S-class saloon. After that you have C126, then C140, C126, C216 and finally C217 singing the last song of the legendary Sonderklasse Coupes.
Wow! Thank you Dmitri! That was a great explanation. I didn't know W188 or W180 were forefathers of SLC. I actually learned something and I appreciate it. Happy holidays!
OK, I Got the 2024 trd pro. ad lift kit 3' and 35' ko2 $5000 ...so Looks factory, like supposed to came out like the raptor. runs and drive great, MPG went down to raptors levels. 12-13 mpg. I still have to spend $4k more or more to replace the rear bumper and front middle one to get the recover points " like supposed to from factory" and erase the funny fake sound from the speakers...still looking for a nice option for the new exhaust. So...for the amount of money you need to put on this to meet the level of the raptor...definitely the raptor is the better factory option in my opinion.
The Raptor 37" msrp, is over $100k... I'm like $80k on my Tundra...so I have $20k more to improve ...if I want... and built a Raptor killer...off road or any road...
Gabo, I feel your pain and frustration. I agree with you that a) Tundra TRD PRO should have come with AT LEAST 35" wheels b) better and MORE REAL exhaust system like Raptor's Trombone system... Having said these, I think a) you one BAD ASS truck that can travel pretty much anywhere and b) it will be more reliable and have higher resale value in the long run. I know Toyota had issues with Turbo wastegates on 2022 Tundra TRD PROs like mine, but those bugs have been worked out. Let me know how the progress is on your build as I wish you the very best! Happy Holidays btw.
Thank you Edgar! I had to explain in detail to give the viewers a good idea what condition and shape the car is... Stay tuned for the next ones my friend 🙂
