I'm confused. You said 4 feed and separation rollers and 2 pickup rollers, which is a total of 6 rollers and you only replaced 3 rollers, and a transfer roller???
Thanks for the video. I attempted my fuser swap, however the ribbon cable that connects between both boards had to be disconnected on my device. Now after I placed everything back together, I'm getting error message: "Engine Cable Connection Issue". Any ideas on what I can try to remedy this issue? Thanks for your time and attention.
My 477fdw top paper feeder is 90 degrees off your illustration. Therefore, one cannot loosen the 1st 3 screw and then pop back the side panels. Actually, I was trying to clear a small bit of torn paper from the cleaning fuser path, so I gave up. The printer is old, and replacing the fuser is no longer the best financial approach, anyway.
Your video is very informative I've watched several from your site however please talk me through it. You do a lot of work without saying what you're doing or why you're doing it A simple mention like these panels have to come off. Make sure you disengage this clutch. Just talk me through it please The more work you do without me knowing what it is or why you're doing it just makes it more confusing
thank you, please my question is that my color HP Laserjet M553 thus not recently print well, the colors of the design or image thus not print as it is and sometimes it print with lines but printing black and white thus not have lines in it. Please how can I solve my problem
You wouldn't happen to have a video of a HP LaserJet m426 mfp or/ m428 mfp on how to clean underneath the ADF scanner glass? Unfortunately some dust or debris gets underneath the glass and is leaving a permanent line that has to be disassembled to clean.
Hello, i have a similar printer but i’m unsure if the formatter needs replacement. Since a power outage, our printer turns on, but the LCD screen remains off, and the network port link lights are not on. Do you think replacing the formatter might resolve this issue?
Another thing these belts do for lack of a better descriptive is "groan" while turning. Was waiting for the 'empty the hopper' part, but it never happened. This MAY be the cause of the 'groan'. (The 'groan' can be quite loud, as the belt pretty much goes the length of the entire machine and the belt vibrates like a big flat guitar string.)
Thank you. My M479 would do a frequent cleaning cycle after every few pages, I ran through your process (found a lot of toner on the brush at the end of the belt), cleaned all of that, and now is printing great again. I appreciate the time you took to do the video.
Just what I needed for a service call: clear, concise, and to the point. Another video on this topic seemed to gloss over things, but you covered each step, which I appreciate. Heads up: the side guards can be a pain to wrestle, and the black plastic cord cover needs to have a specific orientation.
So helpful! I paid someone to come out and clean my printer twice and still had lines on my papers. I followed your video and found a small piece of paper stuck inside causing lines on the belt. Thank you so much!
in reality you cannot fix these, once the foam disintergrates on the mylar its hard to fix unless you have more foam. the thinnerb one are more suseptible of foam disintergration.
I work for an independent, professional workshop. ( 40 years experience) Love the brutal handling with the screwdriver! (1:49) Should be reported to amnesty printernational. There is NO tool required to remove this plastic part. (except to unscrew two screws) Why do you use those stupid gloves? Is the printer radioactive or toxic? HaHa! btw. nice ESD proof workbech. Anyway. Thank you for the video to see a useful detail.
@@MichaelArghyris HaHa! The stupidest excuse ever! Is this a cleanroom printer, of course with toner powder, which is so sensitive that a few fingerprints are harmful? Or is the technician a wanted criminal who doesn't want to leave fingerprints? The IBT or the 2nd transfer roller can also be mounted in such a way that the crucial areas are not touched.
