Whoa, I hear entirely too many influences here. You are awesome. Bend those strings. 53 here and I just aged down to when I was 21 listening to MBV. I still listen to MBV.
Good lord the kids are moving again. Look at that crowd. It looks like the shows I went to as a kid. Fitting for the most 90s sounding band I’ve heard in 20 years.
This is really pretty good...I just wish the vocal aspect of this video were more emphasized in the sound track--I like the music but I want to hear what is being said and to understand it. Think of Mick Jagger...let's hear you sing as clearly as we can hear him sing. I don't mean to sing like Jagger, just to get a recording engineer to emphasize the vocals.
Early Toy Love, Expendables, Jay(Vocals and Guitar) Dave(Drums)and Nick(Bass). Straight Jacket Fits, Playthings, Chills, Sneaky Feelings, touch of Gordon’s and a smidge of The Bats. All the bands that jammed at Strickland Street early 80s Christchurch NZ. ❤
Wow, a song that actually changes tempo! You don't hear that everyday. I just heard "Anti-glory" for the first time today, and am checking out Horsegirl's other cuts. This is good stuff, I am now a fan. It's not just 90's revisited (lord help us we get a copycat trend of the era). More important, this is well made.
Someone tell the kids of Chicago that you can have more than 3 people in a band ok but actually this is so good, other than the occasional mistake from Nora all the bands were tight
